Pickford needs to have a word with himself. Has Karius possessed him?

Walker is so important to the England side. Basically a sweeper and is pacier than most players on the planet. Great insurance policy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yea, Walker can be a liability on the ball. But he gets his teams out of so much trouble because of his pace.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His strengths definitely outweigh his obvious weaknesses. Want to see him attack a little more however
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure who was at fault for the first CB blunder, but Walker definitely bailed them out. Looked like Stones came in too close (I'd expect Maguire to if he was closing down the left side)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Neither of them, Shaw got caught in no mans land so Maguire and Stones both had to move over

Henderson on for Phillips for me. He's looked like a lost little boy.

Kane and Sterling looking good

Sterling looking ordinary. Kane deep because the midfield not doing the job. Kane had moments and created that goal in the first place. He tries to get involved but to say he is looking good is too much.

I think this is an England side of two halves who can always go up a gear if they want. I don’t think Denmark can.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't have that much confidence in us to do it though

Did both of them have to go? Haven't seen it back, but would have expected Stones to cover where Maguire went, but I thought they both went super close to the ball leaving the gap through the middle.

Might be misremembering though

Need Grealish on at some point in the second half.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think he will replace saka - who doesn't have the physical strength yet to last 90 in a big match
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He's done well as the game went on. Great effort for in the build up to our goal. Grealish will put a slightly different perspective to the game if he comes on.

No criticism for Shaw giving away a daft FK?

Our CM pairing have a few premier league campaigns between them and never even played CL. They look out of their depth.

It's a bit silly to keep playing both of them when Hendo is fit and available.

Not enough attention is being paid to Saka's pass and run in the build up to the goal. His movement created the chance as much as Kane's pass.

Why was the commentator creaming his y-fronts over the save from Sterling?, Schmeichel literally didn’t have to do anything
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he didn't want to criticise Sterling.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The pundits have spent most of half time slagging Sterling off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The commentators haven't, if that's what you mean.

I’m not sure Grealish or Foden is the answer if midfield can’t keep the ball. Get on Henderson and one of those two and we’re talking.

Most of us are of the opinion that it was a stupidly soft FK tbh

It was a soft one to give away but the keeper was mainly to blame for the goal

They both had to go Jay, they were both marking the runs, if they hadn’t then there’d have been an easier ball on for Denmark

Southgate has been spot on so far this tournament but you just wonder if this game will be won or lost with how brave he is. Grealish for Mount wins this game for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been fine margins though, we scraped past some bad sides, drew with Scotland, chances against Germany were equal and we got lucky.

I think he's done a great job in terms of fostering a good environment and team spirit and stuff but I think he's not made the most of the tools available to him tactically and has been a bit lucky
