I like him, I want him and Allen to remain in our squads over the course of the next season or 2.
Although for an Italian footballer he is far too nice, needs a nasty streak going.
I didn't even mention his excellent defensive work and ice cool penalty.
Having him on the bench may be a better option than Aspas.
Cant argue with that at present, I still think Aspas has something to offer, Just wish he would roid up or something! so so soooo weak
I don't really know what Aspas offers us that's different... Quick feet, but too weak to hold off challenges and isn't particularly good in the air.
But yet he is still better than the up and coming Sammy Ameobi.
Ill be honest i saw him lose the balls feck loads in that, and did he even have a shot? nice defensive work though
Anyone know if he was even up front? Didn't get in the final third enough if he was, but if he were starting for us would he be up front for us?
He was played wide in that game.
I'm not sure what he is actually good at with a ball but in hindsight I'd rather have him and not have signed Aspas. That's just my opinion though.
Long term, like Suso and Wisdom its better for these players to get games.
Here's his game vs United.

I just spent ten minutes trying to find it. Thanks Ilori.
My concern with Borini is that managers always seem to play him as a wide forward, and I am not sure what he offers us in that position.
Our wide forwards have trickery, pace and creativity, which is not Borini.
He has good movement, a good attitude and can score a goal, I am just not really sure how he fits in for us.
He is not physically strong enough to play as a striker, which is why he gets stuck out wide.
Aspas is a different sort of player, he is a bit more creative but not as natural in the box as Borini, he does struggle with the same lack of strength though, but he is better in the air than Borini is.
Aspas is also older, but is actually pretty inexperienced at the top level the same as Borini.
They both need more games to improve but are not likely to get many at Anfield.
A striker with a bit more physical presence (I am not talking Andy Carroll, just not a lightweight) would make more sense for us than either Aspas or Borini.
If we crack Europe then there'll be enough games for everyone.
If we crack Europe then there'll be enough games for everyone. Aspas and Borini will get games and the loans should prepare them for that.
Where is Alas he loves Borini
Also Borini is still very young. I think we should give him time if he is prepared to come on off the bench
I too hope that both Borini and Allen stay and shine.

Really hope that Borini does come good. He shows some flashes of promise.
As for his physical presence; Michael Owen wasn't exactly a towering giant.
Ideally though, at this moment in time, I feel we could really do with a player similar to Drogba, someone who can bully opposition defences. But who?
Anyway for me borini should only play as a striker
