Well if Arsenal had done their part then Mourinho would have just beaten them in the final instead of Monaco.
Definitely a 2 horse race now
Porto's CL was pretty lucky, they fluked it against United and then got the easiest draw in the next 3 rounds there's ever been in the CL
-----------------------
They fluked nothing against United. They deservedly won at home and held out at Old Trafford. They won the rest of their ties convincingly. Arsenal were busy bottling it against an inferior Chelsea team. Talking about flukes is utterly childish and the losers mentality of the modern trophy-starved Arsenal fan who clutch at straws. Especially when you can't close out an "easy" cup final against relegated mighty Birmingham.
held out at OT their goal came in the last minute. If they never scored that goal Moureen would probably be a journeyman manager in the Portuguese lower leagues.

Chaavs only won 4 trophies pre 96 before spending money they didnt have. Now run along to the Fulham boards as that is company your plastic club belongs with.

Is this puppy still yapping?
They were lucky to knock us out. But come on, 8bit, Mourinho was destined to reach the top regardless of whether or not he won that CL.
is the snitch still stalking me?
Darren
No chance they would have beaten that Arsenal team. The FA screwed us playing the CL, League and FA cup games in close succession otherwise we would have won a treble.
Love how Sheriff tries to rewrite history. In his article he claimed Barcelona got thrashed at the San Siro. The clown obviously never watched the game.
Wenger is the second best manager in the Premier League at the moment. There really isn't any shame in that, you know.

Who gives a fack whether it was in the first or last minute? A goal is a goal. Maybe you should ask why Arsenal never seem to fluke anything. Just a thought. Perhaps it will begin to percolate.
He's a great manager Darren I never said he wasn't, tactically in the big games, man management and dealing with the media he's a genius. overall as a complete manager I rate Wenger higher and I think he'll prove it in the next few years.

I didn't use the word "thrash". Must. Try. Harder.
And I did watch the game. Barca were overrun on the counter in a convincing win for Inter. Sneijder, Maicon, Eto'o and Milito had brilliant games.
why say they were 'holding out' then fecking m ong acting like you watched the game.

I really, really hope you're right 8bit, believe me. But I just can't see it.
thrash hammered same thing. You didnt watch the game be honest. You read the bbc what happened.
Wenger is the second best manager in the Premier League at the moment.
-------------------------------------------
He's the second "greatest" manager in the league at the moment based on his pedigree. Whether he's the second "best" is a little more disputable. Would you say he's doing a better job than Pochettino or Martinez at the moment?
FA screwed us, corrupt ref, game congestion !

Held out when United were on top and avoided an Arsenal style meltdown and pegged United back late on. Pretty good description I'll say.
You know one has no argument when he's reduced to a pointless debate on semantics.
thrash hammered same thing. You didnt watch the game be honest. You read the bbc what happened.
------------------------------------------
Another one reduced to desperate debates on semantics when he has nothing of substance to say. Inter beat Barca deservedly and convincingly. I really don't care about convincing you of whether I watched the match or not.
Sheriff
Far too early to say. Pardew had Newcastle looking like Champions League qualifying contenders for a season and then almost got them relegated the next season! I don't think this will be the same case for Southampton due to their youth system, the way they play and team chemistry, but I would say Southampton are roughly about where they should be. He's not overachieving, but not underachieving.
Martinez has done a great job at Everton so far, but again, next season will be a better time to judge. Although he's made some very shrewd signings, he's made some questionable signings too. Unsure whether the likes of Deulofeu and Lukaku will be there next season, but he's got them playing very good football, was not afraid to blood in youth players and players like Mirallas and McCarthy seem to have revelled in their roles since his arrival at Goodison. Promising signs but still early days.
Southampton are roughly about where they should be. He's not overachieving, but not underachieving.
---------------------------------
Completely disagree. They were promoted just last season and spent most of the season in a relegation battle before Pochettino took over. Southampton's outstanding possession and pressing game are clear products of Pochettino. He's made teams like Stoke look stupid when they claimed they played cave man football because they don't have big resources. You give him too little credit.
The best manager in the world could win at home against West Ham.
/---------------------------------------------------------------
Okay so tell us who is the best manager in the world, and when you do, I'll research a freak result that saw him lose, then say "Haha". No manager wins every single game.
Idiot.
ourinho is a good at winning trophies with great teams who've spend loads of money getting great players

Yeah because he wouldn't do good at a smaller club right? I must have completely dreamed up his time at Leiria, so sorry. You're logic is just so fcking stupid, I'm truly astonished. He's proven himself everywhere he's gone.
Bitter, biased, idiotic baffoons who probably struggle to grasp the concept of the offside rule will argue that Wenger is better than Mourinho, us sensible people will just laugh it off.
Sheriff, don't agree.
Equally, I think you are discrediting some of the work Adkins did at Southampton. Southampton have always been a pressing team, they should have beaten us last year due to playing us off the park in the 1-1 draw. The 2-2 draw this year was pretty similar in terms of performance in fact. Pochettino's made Southampton into an even better side, yes - but a lot of the style that Southampton play with has been in their footballing culture. It's how the youth players have been taught to play and it's why they look like such promising players at young ages e.g. Ward-Prowse and Shaw. They look so comfortable on the ball and looking so mature in one of the most physically-demanding leagues in the world is sensational.
Pochettino with his philosophy then became the perfect fit for a team like Southampton, but with the talent and quality they have, in terms of their league position, I still think they are about where they should be and Pochettino hasn't done anything that has 'wowed' me.
