Townsend is absolute gash. How he got picked ahead of Adam Johnson I'll never know

Townsend has been awful for months. Those 2 weeks of quality performances went to his head and he thinks he's Ronaldo now

Tosnwend with 1 goal this season and struggling to start for Tottenham..he will probably make the squad but doesn't deserve to start over Lallana, Ox or Sterling

Rather see Townsend than cockroach Sterling

I don't want to see the headless chicken Sterling anywhere near the starting line up. Ox all the way. 10000 times better

I disagree, I used to think Ox was better and had more potential but this season Sterling has really stepped up his all round game.

Also I forgot Milner..I like him. Would put him in my team, in midfield (definitely not wing)

Gerrard Henderson
Ox Rooney Sterling
Sturridge.

Let's just go for goals. What is the point in keeping it tight, and either losing 1-0 or on penalties?
At least let's do what Spurs did when they were in the CL and score loads of goals.

If Townsend starts for England against any team I will honestly consider switching off..absolutely awful player who the media have labelled the next messiah. Cut in and shoot or lump a cross in is the only two things that he can do - none very well.

I'd agree with the three man midfield as Gerrard is not an out and out defensive midfielder and has to have another player alongside him

Hart
Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines
Gerrard Carrick Wilshere
Sterling Sturridge Rooney

Really? You'd rather play someone who isn't getting into Spurs' starting line up over someone whose been one of the better wingers in the country over the past 3/4 months?

HK's obesity levels are getting to his head..

Tbh I'd have johnson/sterling on the right because they have a good rapport for Liverpool, and because sterling deserves it.
Also baines/jags. Probably hendo/gerrard deeper with wilshere ahead (don't think he deserves a place on current form but not much choice)

We can't just throw in 11 players who have no chemistry like we always do. Pick the better team.

Hart
Johnson chill jagielka baines
Gerrard henderson
Sterling rooney lallana?
Sturridge

May be a.bit Liverpool heavy, but I think the familiarity T club level will help a lot. Gerrard's captain so not gonna be dropped therefore needs hendo's industry next to him. Rb's a mare but johnson still better defensively than walker imo- depends on tactics by woy.

It matters not a jot to me as long as they leave Rooney, Carrick, Jones and Smalling alone

They can have Wellbeck and Cleverley if they are desperate - as long as any potential injuries don't effect their sell price.

International football is anathemic to me, as is the vague and imaginary construction of the concept of 'nation'.

Would prefer it if they used gooners, scousers and CFC's neanderthals.

I'm afraid they probably won't

you do know Ox was out for about 6 Month and only came back into the team about a month ago. Since hes come back into the team hes scored 3 goals in 4 games which isnt too bad.

however Stirling has really been good this season and with Walcott out he has to play as Andros Townsend its literally DROS.

The trouble with Ox is he has one good game then 5 mediocre ones.

Sterling has been consistently very good for months.

Clyne has been on the bench for Southampton recently, they have a lot of competition at full-back now with Chambers coming through as well.

Oh and my Team would be -

---------------------Hart
Walker-----Cahill----Jagielka-----Baines
------------Gerrard-----Wilshire
--Sterling--------Rooney--------Oxlade--
------------------Sturridge

Thats a good team with plenty of pace and has players that can keep the ball with Gerrard, Jack, Ox, & Rooney.

I swear if i see Welbeck ahead of Sturridge or Sturridge on the wing to allow Danny flop to play i will be fuming.

I'm surprised Gareth Barry hasn't got a mention considering the season he's had and we'll probably need somebody a bit more defensive minded like him.

Gerrard's a certainty to start and as has been mentioned, he's not an out and out holding player so perhaps Barry beside him and then somebody more mobile and energetic to link play and provide support going forward.

If Barry finishes the season well, I see no reason why he shouldn't go as he'll certainly be more deserving than others.

I mentioned Barry. The fact he is not in the squad today suggests he has little chance.
