What alternatives Jonty?

posted on 24/3/14

GFH absolutely needed a Cellino takeover as he's the only one that they could get their money back from. They obviously couldn't organize a bun fight in a bakery….why would they be taking money from Cellino without a proper deal in place?…..Because they have none…now they are bricking it as none of the alternatives (if there were any) have anywhere close to what he could offer.

Right then please tell us all these options waiting in the wings to buy our once great club. The anticipation is killing me.

#4, my feelings exactly.

These alternatives probably made their multi-millions selling unicorn pelts and moon farmed cheese.

oh and jonty the "all enjoy the football" bit really cheered me up. Have you been to a game lately? So you really believe we are now better off cos Cellino cant get his hands on us and we are left to rot with the magnificent GFH. I bet David Haigh will release a statement saying he is again now employed by GFH. You really couldnt make it up.

Mmmm Moon farmed cheese on toast

Wonder how gfh will pay the wages next month? I'm sure the players can get on with their jobs, but we're poor on the field. Don't think we'll see much enjoyable footy.

I feel happy & relieved tonight.
Really glad that Italian nugget has been sent packing.

Miggy- I love GFH. So glad we have them. We are in safe hands with them. David Haigh, please come back to GFH. They need you.

But is it done and dusted? According to BBC he's going to appeal and or GFH are to re-structure the deal with Eleonora.

Batty4

I remember when people were saying anyone but bates

I said at the time, it's the wrong attitude to have.

Same applies here

We need the right people

posted on 24/3/14

LIW- We been needing the "right people" even before Bates got his grubby hands on us. Its ok having the right people but they need a shed load of money to match the ambitions of our once great club. From what we have had to put up with from Bates and now GFH I was willing to take a risk with the Italian as couldnt have been much worse than the above. I really fear for our future. I really do. I respect peoplesopinions but I think we will be sorry. If your loaded a nd think you can match our ambition and have a sqeeky clean background then please step forward.

What aren't you getting

The fit and proper rules have made to try to protect football clubs

He's just been convicted of trying to avoid paying tax

How the hell can the FL pass him.

Seriously people need to stop being so desperate

posted on 24/3/14

Oh yes there will be a que longer than you have ever seen of god fearing, pure and filthy rich people, with knowledge of football unsurpassed, just waiting to take hold of the club.I wonder how long it will take these jokers that went to the FL saying they had a consortium that could match Cellino's offer. They need to get in there quick if they want to buy....We will now see where these other options are going to come from,or will we see them now do what they may have intended all along.Wait until administration and get it cheap,do the usual drawn out deal,so it could take them through the summer and not have to spend any cash,or get hold of the club as quickly as possible to build for next season....Somehow I don't think there will be any settling down of the manager or players, they may be worried if they will get paid or not. It's far from over now.

Wondered how long it would be before Jonty and his friends came out of the woodwork. Like Batty 4 just now said, how long has it been since you went to an away game Jonty, or even a home game? Are you really a supporter or just someone who likes to stir things up?

P.S Jonty,

The deal it appears it not yet done and dusted

posted on 24/3/14

Just been past elland road. The queue of fithy rich sqeeky clean consortiums starts at the west stand ticket office and is running along elland road and nearly at the Bremner statue. They must be all the ones that he said were waiting to make a bid for us. He was right after all.

"Players might feel a little more settled now circus around Cellino has died down"

I doubt it Cellino was paying their wages.

"the divisive issue of Cellino can be consigned to history and we can enjoy some football for a bit!"

GFH are a far more divisive issue than Cellino.

magnsheba, the only one trying to stir anything up here is yourself.

Jonty, with respects me o'de cocker but,

If Cellino loses his appeal, or the contract with Eleanora Sports is knocked back by the FL for obviously no reason, then the nightmare for LUFC will really begin.

A little presumptive Jonty! I can't see Cellno giving this up so easy - especially he has now come out and basically said he thinks the majority of fans are backing him.

Just check social media - big percentage want him in.

You got your wish Jonty.

So when do you think the fit and proper holier than thou tycoons will start rolling in to buy our club.

Today, tomorrow, next week maybe?

We really need Cellino but its fair enough the FL have knocked him back.

He is the FIRST proven owner who has had money for YEARS. Since we blew too much in and around 2003.

How many times have we heard 'They bid but when it came down to it, they didn't have the money'.

This bloke was the real deal. He had that money to burn. He may not have been perfect, but as we all know in life, what is perfect?

We have had 10 years where we have waited for a saviour and yes we are in better shape than in 2003, BUT could rapidly fall back into trouble if as reported we are losing 250. K a week.

We must find a way of getting Cellino involved.
