right, so when she was no longer in office, we had the opportunities, time and time again to do something about it yet abjectly failed to do so.
Not thatcher's fault, she can be blamed for the stuff she did, we can be blamed for not doing anything about it in the years since.
This is the legacy left, she paved the way for the sickening self serving hypocritical political elite we've seen since.
A watershed, what we see now are actors on the payrolls of huge corporations promising change in the run up to elections but delivering nothing once in office, they are'nt going to bite the hand that lifted them up into power, they are there to take money from the public and hand it to the filthy rich.
all parties are cut from the same cloth today,it doesn't matter who you've voted for since.
no she didn't, they were already in place, we couldn't prevent globalisation, it was always going to happen, pretty much bank on it and the same story plays out on all new emerging economies, markets open up, commercial interest walks in, money talks, especially where poverty is concerned.
Doesn't matter if we are in the eu or not while capitalism and career politics run riot.
Once upon a time politicians worked for the country rather than pillaged it, once upon a time politicians were semi retired workers from relevant fields, i have three jobs, two in agriculture one in IT, i also keep motown pigs, chickens etc in my spare time, in agriculture in particular, you generally have a minister who never even stepped foot on a farm before he was given the job by his chums, bankrolled by the massive agri-companies to push favourable legislation, you have people who have no experience of the area which they are given to govern and then they pass down laws to far more knowledgeable workers in that sector making their jobs impossible..
But the Sam can also be said of lobby groups, those who lobby against the Badger culls for instance,.driving our livestock farmers to their knees while a disease runs rampant across our countryside killing 10s of thousands of cattle, but also infecting wildlife (where are the bleeding hearts for wild deer and boars in the new forest having to be culled after contracting TB?) and other farmed animals, cases in pigs, and alpacas in particular, pet dogs that have caught TB swimming in streams and drinking from puddles, even humans have contracted the disease because the rate of infection is getting so high.. Yet lobby groups and politicians so far removed from the effects of their "cause" make life difficult for those who actually produce something for this country!! People with no first hand experience of the problem can launch Internet crusades to pass laws they have no idea of.
Then theres capitalism, the worst aspect of this is creaming profits from your very employees.. The last three years the company I work for has given us a below inflation wage rise, while putting the price of the service we provide up by inflation +2%.
What most people don't understand is this is effectively raising their profit at your expense, because they lower their income to wage ratio.
And tax evasion is one of the biggest problems we face, I saw a statistic that 5% of the population earn 95% of the wages (criminal in itself) but that the contribute only 36% of the income tax the government receives..
That's means that 64% of the income tax receipts in this country comes from 5% of the money earned. That 5% are pretty much all on PAYE, they cannot claim tax back for fuel and food, they pay the VAT on that as well..
It's suggested that if all income was paid on a 20% PAYE method, that lower income workers are forced on to, that tax receipts would increase from approx 154.8 billion (12-13 statistics) to 1,981.4 billion..
NI would see a similar increase because currently higher bracket earners pay 1% rather than the 11% lower wage earners pay.
That's the major problem facing society, the poor prop up the rich.. And it's not in any career politicians interest to address this..
Sent from my phone so sorry for spelling mistakes, i like to hit full stop and b instead of the space bar!!

The thing is, if the UK did receive those tax receipts, would vat be so high? Unlikely. Would fuel duty be so high? Highly unlikely, alcohol? Half the price.
Yes we all pay these taxes, but the higher paid get to claim theirs back.. Time for a fair systems, everyone puts in the same percentage.
Even the nhs is failing so that higher earners get to pay a lower percentage and keep more of their vastly greater wealth.

It works for some countries, Polands economy has trippled since joining the EU, a lot of this is due to migration and sending wages home, I knew a polish guy who worked as a chef here for two years and saved enough money to open up a posh restaurant in Poland so back he went to be with his young family.
But the free trade also helps, and has helped create work in Poland, their food exports have shot up especially to countries such as the UK which has high proportions of their migrant workers.
On the whole the world will need to come together as an economy and share goals (such as space exploration) if we want to overcome some of the hurdles facing our futures, the world is overpopulated, and we are doing irreversible damage to the only garden world in our solar system, if we could travel to other planets to ease the burden on earth, the majority of food will still need to be grown here unless we can terraform planets! 6 countries all with their own space programs is ludicrous, if they pooled their money it would be far more effective!
Also foreign aid needs to be changed, money should not be gifted to countries, it should be distributed via charities such as water aid and farm Africa, charities that create far more effective and lasting differences by creating an economy in third world countries that can support the populace.
And the environment.. Time for massive desert based solar farms.. Along the lines of the one EDF pulled the plug on to fund their new nuclear reactor in Bristol (the one the french refused to allow the french energy company to build in their country)
Your man just got tonked op!
Why's he my man? Clegg's an idiot with no public support. I feel that even if he'd made a good argument people would have just called him lying and dishonest.
I'm still interested to know why everyone focuses on immigration when there are 2.2m brits living in europe and 2,4m europeans living in britain...

Europe excluding Britain has a population of about 670million and a huge land mass,it's not just Europeans who settle here though,we have tonnes of asylum seekers by-passing other euro countries to get here,French ports are full of them waiting to hitch a ride, its costs the tax payer to sort or deport,by contrast the ukraine is the second largest country in Europe with a population of just 45million,but I don't see people 'Russian' to go and live there even before the government was over thrown in a coup de tat.We had room many years ago for skilled qualified people,we already have enough of our own unskilled,we don't need more,it's properganda to say Brits are lazy, when faced with putting food on the table you'll take what you can.
We are being screwed by Europe and we need to take back control of our borders before we drown in a sesspit of our politicos making.

David cameron employs a Nepalese nanny but says no to Eastern Europeans?? Spin spin spin! Brits are just not capable of doing that job are they?
Immigration is fine for these people as long as its not in their back yard or manor.
200,000 people isn't exactly making the difference. I think there are just a lack of completely unskilled jobs.
Aanyway.Good chat. We could and have gone around in circles. As long as people don't give into Farage's scaremongering IF there's a vote/ referendum. It's crazy how being scared can make people take extreme views. No party in the UK is worth the time or effort, but especially UKIP. Whilst I respect peoples' right to their own beliefs, they should at least go with a range of policies they can contribute. Read this ona bbc have your say yesterday and thought it was apt
"Your backing a party which is against gay marriage, denies global warming, have members who they took from the BNP has, talks about nothing but foreign policy, and blames immigrants for everything"
Not entirely accurate, but the general gist is right. They are a non party that use false information as a scare tactic and misinform the public at any opportunity. It's very similar to Alex Salmond in that they are creating hatred and distrust where there was exceedingly little before. So 29 million Romanian/ bulgarians are coming here are they? The EU makes 75% of our laws do they? Utter sensationalist tosh, and yet people believe him and get scared.
They are imo a dangerous party and farage is a dangerous man. I hope they don't get any real power at the next election. Let's not forget that even Nick Griffin came accross well on televised debate a few years ago (thought he made very good points, whilst being continually abused by others for his beliefs rather than policies)
Its easy to use misinformation and tactics when the usual tried tested and failed main parties keep ignoring the electotarate.
People will vote reactionary when the're concerns are being drowned out and swept under the carpet.
People are fed up of red and blue wear the same shoe.
People want change, the real issues are being ignored, and denied, they think a new party will offer an alternative.
You can't blame them for that, the 3 party clan can look no further than themselves.
Ukip is just taking advantage of that

Good poast. A little bit conspiratorial for my tastes. Unfortunately it's a lot more complicated than just being bankrolled by a few fat cats. Influence from a whole host of places around government is pushing a neo-liberal agenda, so IMO it's only a matter of time before everything is privatised and left to 'market forces'
Do some research into the history of it,you'll find it's not conspiratorial at all, thats the best way to assassinate peoples character so the attention is diverted to carry on raping the sheep.
The facts are there if you look.
Once a private central bank is implimented the politicians are just paid monkeys whilst the real elite buy up everything of value with yours and mine's debt they create.
In 1933 gold was effectively stolen from the public, just like the ordinary persons bank accounts were in cyprus much recently.
George washington fought against it,heres what woodrow wilson had to say on his death bed: "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." -Woodrow Wilson, after signing the Federal Reserve into existence

I don't disagree to the influence of the financial sector, especially in the UK, but there are other things at play. I'm actually conducting a study into the system of credit (just out of interest). The fact that banks can create mmoney out of thin air on a computer means we are a debt based economy and actually causes things like housing bubbles etc. Money is legally supposed to be created by the BoE, but laws were never updated for the invention of computerised banking. It's a complete shambles and the banking system itself needs serious reform. Unfortunately it will never happen
Exactly the Federal reserve for instance is privately owned by some rich people and not the US government.
For every pound/dollar printed you and i spend,it finds its way back to a central bank with interest, there is nothing to back it.
They just loan us paper.
As i previously stated the other day,the only countries that were not controlled by the NWO(a nwo, remember bush snr qouting that amongst others?)....banksters and their friends in the military industrial complex, need wars to profit even more, and protect the world reserve currency(the dollar),hence the overthrow of soveriegn countries like iraq, libya, afghanistan etc and control the oil and lithium markets(oil sold by the barrel in dollars dont forget).
These countries dared to set up there own gold and precious metals backed currency, cutting out the influence of the likes of the u.s and it's lap dogs like the u.k,hence another reason for invasion.WMD's? Bush jnr joked about that one some time afterwards.
Chevron have a big hand to play in the chaos in ukraine with fracking, you know the guys who sponsor victoria "fk the e.u" nuland, trying to impliment a pro u.s puppet regime.
