Also, when a young player is bought then they maintain there value and can be moved on.

I'd rather crap in my hands and clap than take torres back.

Of course it's not always (although I didn't make that clear in my post), but a young prospect is going to maintain their value in comparison to an an ageing, arthritic ladyboy.

I hope he goes back to Spain this summer, and I hope he regains some sort of form there. While it has been entertaining to see his demise at Chelsea, it would be remiss to ignore what he did at the club, and I'd like to see him do well when he does get moved on in the summer.

Every club has a $hit striker, Aspas is ours and we don't need another.

It's touching TCP still wants him.

Why do people keep bashing Aspas? He's hardly played and I'd have him over Torres returning for -£40,000,001.

Ffs it's about 4 years since Torres had a good season. Let it go, he's past it

Why are people always obsessed with bringing former players back?

I fear for some of you in real life. You must stalk your ex's.

Why in the hell would this Athletico side want him .

I'd rather stab myself in the balks with a box of tooth picks than see him play in red again!

Funny shaped box if you can stab yourself with it.

They come in a rectangular box and I'd do it with everyone rather than see him back!

It's shows how little some people actually know about football. They see a player who has been on the wane for 3-4 years, then somehow arrive at the decision it just might be a good idea for a club that is on a steep upward curve, and about to enter the CL, to sign him....

Or is it simply a case of posting an article for the sake of it?? And whilst I'm on that topic, why do people post an article on exactly the same topic that someone else has just done one?? Bloody glory hunters

It would be like stabbing the team with a poisoned dagger.

I'd sign him on a free

Then make him clean the boots of the guy that cleans the boots of the guy that cleans Suarez's boots

Watched LFCTV yesterday. Torres in his prime. God, what a player. Has he still got it? I don't know, he never puts in performances for Chelsea like he did for us. Take him back? Well, if - a big if - Chelsea manage to get rid of him and he returns home to Spain (he's not good enough for Athletico) I am sure it will be with great sadness, a dream unfulfilled. Give him a trial fortnight in the summer, see what he's like, and if good enough, sign him on much much reduced wages.(No one else will give him large amounts of money).

Any Reds, myself included are and will remain bitter by his leaving us. Testimonials, for former players will not include him. His fault, I know, but that's sad too.
