Rodgers didn't promise a World Class striker at all, the press are making that bit up.

No, I am convinced we will get another striker because I don't feel we can operate this season with just one main striker. Sturridge is injured, then what? No disrespect to Borini but he's not good enough for what we require.

How is Sturridge injury prone? He had a season when he played forty-two games. Not many play over that.

Sturridge isn't injury prone, he has this reputation based on very little, a bit like his reputation he had at Chelsea for being trouble. People just seem to like making stuff up about him for some reason.

I think we will probably sign another striker, maybe permanent, maybe on loan.

I doubt they will be what most fans would call 'world class' though, and Rodgers did not use that phrase. He just said we would like another forward but if one is not available we will go with what we have.

Righteous I agree. Sturridge proved the Chelsea fans wrong when he joined us. They said he was too selfish, arrogant and had a sense of entitlement by wanting to play as the main striker. All that was shown to be hogwash when he joined us. Now they are saying the same about Lukaku. You couldn't make it up. Sturridge is not injury prone really but we will miss him greatly if he gets injured even if its for a few matches. At some points last season he played through pain if I remember well.

He has had one proper injury and a few minor niggles.

If he is so injury prone he has done well to play 49 competitive games for us since he joined.

Martin Kelly, someone who was worthy of injury prone status, only played 60 odd games in 5 years.

I think Studge will get muscular injuries quite easily playing 3 games a week.

When will be be playing 3 times a week? Doubt he'd be involved in the COC at all.

There is a difference between picking up injuries now and again and being injury prone, to me anyway.

Injury prone players to my mind are ones that are injured at least as often or more often than they play.

This clearly isn't Sturridge.
