What a boring summer!

Been a short summer for me. It's been quick all around but as the first match draws closer the slower time seems to move.

Currently at snail's pace.

I wonder if we’d have signed anyone if we hadn’t won the CL?

All the big talk from John Henry after winning CL that we are prepared to go big again this window. He only goes big after we sell someone for alot of money.

Once Klopp has had a good look at the team and the youngsters, the decision to sign or not sign will be made IMO.

I'm guessing Klopp wants to gauge and see who is ready so we don't make signings that will limit players we already have.

Wouldn't want it any other way tbh

If he had sell up...the club could take care of itself

Think any frustration at lack of spending should be on Klopp, not FSG to be honest.

Henry basically said in June that the money is there if Klopp wants it but he trusts Klopp and Edwards' decision, so it's ultimately up to them.

If anyone is frustrated at lack of spending, having spent hundreds of millions whilst also vastly increasing the wage bill and spending sh!t loads on agents to get Klopps preferred targets then they're beIlends to be quite honest.

This, even if we don't sign anybody. I am happy to be going into next season with the squad we have. Of course as fans we love to see shiny new players but we also have to appreciate what we do have.

I do think we'll sign a couple of young players, maybe the odd backup after a couple move but I really wouldn't like to see anybody come into the first team, especially if Gomez comes back in for Matip.

I also want to see Wilson given a chance off the bench and some cup games but appreciate some may feel he's better off playing a full season elsewhere.

I stuck a fiver on him at 60/1 after the first hole thinking he'd improve on it.

To be fair I think it's a huge mistake to not get a front 3 player in. But I'm not gonna lay into FSG and Klopp over it. I trust they'd get someone if they could.

Or we can fire in Wilson or change the system and bring in Ox, Shaqiri etc and celebrate our squad.

People know we can only have a 25 man squad right? And that we can only have that if we have 8 HG players 4 of which have to have trained for three years at the club before the age of 21?

what about if they dont perform at the same level the others were and we drop points?

I mean we were only missing Firmino against Barca first leg and Firmino and Salah second leg. It's a shame we didn't have options or we could have went through.

Who said it can't be improved upon? Every squad can be improved upon. If you keep 'improving' your squad by buying players when you're already happy with it and there are young players banging on the door you won't get these young players into the side as you won't test them and you may even ruin the squad you were happy with.

I'd say Klopp is happy with his squad and why wouldn't he be? They just won the CL and got a record points haul narrowly missing out on the title. If he thinks he wants to stick with it, then I'm behind that. He has shown he knows what he's doing.
