Whatever we thought of him before isn’t really relevant now.

Our team and system has evolved to such a point that it’s hard to see where he fits, other than being an impact sub.

In the midfield 3 he’s noting going to take any of their positions, likewise the front 3. Our system is pretty much perfect right now. Certainly strength in depth is desired, but I don’t see where Cout fits, other than on the bench, which he’s not going to want.

I’d prefer the money spent on looking for back up/long term replacement for some of the front 3 and middle 3.

He was inconsistent in his first few seasons but the 18 months before he left he was incredibly consistent, hence Barca coming in. He could easily play in a three and cover for Mane/Salah.

13 goals and assists in his 14 games in his last half a season.
20 goals and assists in his 31 league games in his last full season.

He had also began playing more centrally in his last 6 months when his figures began increasing as well as his impact on the team, where 8 of his 14 league games he was playing centrally.

Can't see him working in a 3... he played his best football in a 3. Best position is tip of the diamond. He played there around 5 times in his whole time with us.
Too inconsistent. He was consistently great for 2 years before he left us. And even before then, he was consistently our biggest threat and scored so many key goals for us.

For someone so inconsistent he produced 76 goals/assists in 152 PL games

A goal/assist every other game, considering he had a slow start those are some good stats

yep he had a slow start but the last 18 months he was with us he was consistently excellent.
