Interesting fact........

The modern british fig roll is an interpretation of the american Fig Newton.

the Fig Newton is named after the town of Newton in Massachussetts which is just two towns over from BELMONT where a particular MAN comes FROM

Yeah but you guys defeated them and took over.

Fiorentina's porting director Daniele Prade

"I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities that present themselves in the final few days [of the transfer window].

"Borini is one option which is still open. That's not to say that one signing would exclude another."

Its either Borini or bringing septuagenarian Alberto Gilardino back from his exile in China.

How Borini's stock has fallen.

Interesting Article on Rodgers attitude towards different signings.

Made me wonder who has been behind all our sigings:

Allen - Rodgers
Sturridge - Rodgers
Borini - Rodgers
Coutinho - Committee
Sahin - Rodgers
Assaidi - ???
Yesil - ???

Sakho - Committee
Aspas - ??? Rodgers I'd guess
Mignolet- Committee
Alberto - Committee
Ilori - Committee
Moses- ???
Cissokho - ???
Kolo - Rodgers

Lallana - Rodgers
Lovren - Rodgers
Markovic - Committee
Balotelli - Committee
Moreno - Committee
Origi - Committee
Can - ???
Lambert - Rodgers
Manquillo - ???

Benteke - Rodgers
Firmino - ???
Clyne - Rodgers
Gomez - Rodgers
Ings - Rodgers
Milner - Rodgers

Probably got that all wrong and I know it's not as clear cut as simply being a signing by Rodgers or the Committee but it's clear that Rodgers prefers to play the players he pushed for to sign.
