Alright benders, so who do we want in the CL?

Atletico, Seville, Porto, Lazio and Juve look good bets for 2nd place.

Madrid, inter, Leipzig, Paris could also feature.

Porto again would be a blast, but getting this Madrid side, with Pochettino ultimately in charge could be a blast.

Quite a lot of big teams come 2nd these days so winning the group doesn't make much difference. Just don't want Atletico again after last year.

Porto would obviously be my choice too. Would be banter and imagine the fume on here if we get them yet again

I'm still hoping United get knocked out from their group. Come on PSG tonight

I wouldn't mind Porto, but I'd fancy someone different this time, bored of beating them now. I would take Sevilla or Lazio as alternatives as they are good, but beatable.

I don't think I'd be too upset about Juve either, would remind me of Bayern from a couple of seasons ago as Juve seem in that phase at the moment.

Thing about Elliott is,with this injury ravaged side he’d probably be getting games!

Elliott looks like hes being managed really well by Blackburn. Hes playing a lot but they understand his age etc and managing his time. Had an injury scare the other week. Blackburn fans highly impressed. Hope he can stay fit and keep it up, the experience hes getting should be huge. Next year at 18 maybe a prem club loan but if not Klopp might keep him around and he should get a few chances.

I wouldn't say there has been an effort to manage his minutes. I've kept an eye on him at Blackburn, watched a load of their games and highlights and he has played 90 minutes in every game until his injury. Of course he has then been taken off in the couple of games after his injury, which is normal.

Two goals and three assists in ten games so far. But he's been heavily involved in all their attacks, apart from the goal contributions.

Seem to remember seeing mowbray talk about managing him cause of his age. 5 subs should help now aswell?

Anyway, yeah blackburn fans seem to agree hes a cut above championship level and their players already even at 17 years old. Promising.

I still don't see Elliot as a wide forward though. Don't think he has the pace. Think with that wand left foot he will drop deeper.

posted on 3/12/20

I agree. He doesn't have the qualities to play wide and is too short to play as a striker.

elliots not got that pace in him

For the record I agree, I see him playing between the lines. Sort of our very own David Silva with even shiiiiiiter hair.
