I'm pretty sure the idea of transfer requests are so that the club has to inform you of any offers, if he hasn't done that and he's under contract the have no reason to.

Come on Kash. Saint would have an obligation to tell his reps if a club bids for him. It's just basic practice.

Obviously we have his word for it tho'

Happens in all walk of life. I remember in my contracting days I came back from annual leave and as I entered the building I had the security guard with a box with my name on it and telling me that I'm not needed anymore. No leaving card, no thank you and no explanation despite still having 3 more months left on my contract.

And I bet you thought that was pretty rude!

I work in employment and a company went bust and the first time the staff knew about it was when they turned up on Monday morning and the place was shut with a sign up. Owed wages and everything, people had mortgages to pay for and so on. Disgusting really. Text wouldn't have hurt would it.

£75m to spend - this could be an enormous summer of transfer spending!!

Mind you were set to earn £30m more this year because of the CL TV money, got £99m TV money for the league and £75m for Suarez.

I saw the tweet, but it didn't include the "that's including Markovic and Origi deals." Just said that the deals all ready made.

Without selling Suarez our first team was pretty good but without him we need to use the money we'll get from Barca making sure our first XI is still able to compete against the top teams, so maybe 2/3 first team players with that money. We've built up the squad so far but what's the point in doing that if we aren't capable of qualifying for the champions league which is when the squad gets stretched.
