So baldy Webb says that Doku wins the ball first and it was a subjective decision. Had ref given it then it would have remained a pen but because Doku got a touch (which he didn't) then it's not a pen

Players have to be realistic too. I think both will get offered new deals but more 2 year top ups than anything else. VVD might get a payrise being captain too while Mo will probably stay on what he is on. Both are fighting father time whether they like it or not.

The other line was that Macca did not go for that ball. Yes because he was trying to avoid colliding into 8 studs with force. Pathetic from Webb again.

He must love being interviewed by dopey Owen who does nothing to question the thinking. He is just a nodding dog happy for a pay day.

One of the independent panel also said it was fine because it was a genuine attempt to play the ball.

99% of fouls are genuine attempts to play the ball, when has that ever stopped something being a foul.

Really it's a miracle we are where we are in the league with all these incidents and injuries this season

I do constantly find myself being utterly fed up with this season as we have had injuries like I’ve never known before and refereeing decisions go against us week in week out and then I look at the league table and wonder how the hell we’ve done so well

Webb just defended all the decisions made basically. At this point, with all the ex-refs commenting on different platforms, it's difficult to know if that's actually their opinion or whether they're defending their profession/professionals.

Online you'll always get the wums out in force but IRL it's been a discussion on a couple of my whatsapp groups and the general consensus ranges from 'scandalous decision' to 'not stonewall but Doku a very, very lucky boy'. Most football fans would see that as a pen and every single one would want a pen for it against their team.

It's basically the 20/21 and 22/23 seasons again but this time we have real depth. Youth players stepped-up in those previous seasons too but nothing like in this season, I'll cherish that Carabao Cup win for a long time

The refs are match fixers. Whether its for bookies or UAE they can be influenced. They are the mafia of football.
