Not so sure. I mean they’ll certainly try to close ranks, but these things tend to have a habit of snowballing. Look at that picture of them all around the table, every one of them with a local girl next to them. I doubt they’ll get away with claiming they were just explaining the offside rule to them. They don’t even know it themselves FFS.

I don’t really give a toss about that picture tbh, I just care about PGMOL letting quite obvious bias affect outcomes in the league which it is.

Issue is they should be more professional, VAR shouldnt be pally with the ref theyre there to do a job in getting the right decisions. Seen before with what Mike Dean said, let a decision slide to make his mates life easier... Saw in the Wham Utd game the ref just going with his m8 ollies decision even though it was wrong and he prob knew it.

As has them reffing in the middle east, when prem clubs are owned by the same people who own and run the show there. Just doesnt paint them in a good light and with the stuff coming out now just makes it look even worse.

pretty good vid on the situation and throws in examples of when former refs and players have told stories of times clear bias/corruption w.e occured.

Didnt know Danny Simpson said a ref told him he should have sent a player off but didnt cause he wanted a team to win it. Nor that ref Mark Halsey said refs are told to lie and say they havent seen an incident by the PGMOL.

Yeah had Ireland so that was a nervous moment. Had a bloody £235 cash out at one point before that save.
