Can't see Putin being overthrown. All the laws he's brought in prevent that from happening. This is somebody who first was able to shuffle between Prime Minister and President and then changed the constitution so that Presidents can only serve two terms, however that put all previous terms to zero, meaning his terms up to then didn't count. In doing this he increased the term period to six years instead of four and gave presidents lifetime immunity from prosecution. Essentially should he so wish he can remain in post until 2036.

Although I don't think anyone is untouchable, but Putin is a very paranoid man and at this point he knows he's fooked of he gives up power.
There must surely be growing discontent in Russia, it’s not 1939 anymore, people can quite clearly see how many Russians are dying on the front lines and for what? Not just that but international isolation, economic sanctions and when you’re president is cosying up to King Kong Un of all people you can surely see there is trouble afoot…
Anyway, I’ve been giving airsoft a go recently to get practice in for when I’m drafted

There is and anybody who shows it go to prison.
Russia's economy has grown since the sanctions came in. There are still ways to get things into the country. I've seen it first hand. Many forwarders offer delivery to countries bordering Russia and then they pass it to Russian backed forwarders who bring it into the country. They've found away around the banking issues also by using Turkey mainly, who allow it.

Not denying your point but how much of that is down to the government ploughing money into manufacturing arms?

You're suggesting their GDP has grown more since the sanctions because they've added to their wealth through more weapons? I'm not sure how plausible that is considering despite what many would have you believe, no country gains by participating in war. I mean surely the value of the weaponry is more than offset by the cost of the actual war itself?
They're charging more for oil and selling more than ever. They're being creative in-house when foreign companies have pulled out and replacing those services with their own and they're creating and strengthening trade amongst other things with the many countries who want to do business with them regardless of what they're doing in Ukraine.
Normal people are suffering of course with rent costs spiralling despite openings in the market due to millions leaving the country and mortgages which are increasingly out of reach but Putin doesn't need to improve the lives of people to stay in power, he has created laws which keep him there, which keeps people quiet.

What is this all about?
That reassessment of shareholders loans is interesting
Not that it makes any difference to us but will be interesting to see how they regulate it
From the Beeb
APT rules were formed by the Premier League to prevent clubs from profiting from commercial or sponsorship deals with companies linked to their owners that are deemed above "fair market value".
The Premier League said the rule changes relate to "integrating the assessment of shareholder loans" and "include the removal of some of the amendments made to APT rules earlier this year".
"The purpose of the APT rules is to ensure clubs are not able to benefit from commercial deals or reductions in costs that are not at fair market value by virtue of relationships with associated parties," read a Premier League statement.
Sources have told BBC Sport that representatives from Chelsea and Manchester United both spoke at the meeting before the vote, urging clubs to vote through the changes.
Manchester City's representative declined to speak.

Basically the PL introduced rules so that clubs couldn't conflate sponsorship deals through affiliates. However when attempting to punish City with these rules, City won a legal case against them and therefore escaped punishment. The PL have now amended the rules hoping that next time they attempt to punish a club for breaking them, they club won't be able to win a legal case. The clubs have voted through the amendments with a majority. The belief is that only City and Forest didn't vote in favour.
