I guess it depends if we think a loan will increase his value next year
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Next summer he'll be 12 months from contract expiry so any increase in value from performance is likely to be countered by contractual situation.

I've always been a fan of Harvey's ability. Still am. I think his potential is huge. But ultimately if he's not going to play then it's probably best for all that he moves on.

a loan won't change his lack of physical attributes, expecting a sale
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He needs to learn from Salah and get that 8 pac. Still looks a bit chubby.

Rob Page as our U21 manager seems like a good appointment
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As a Welshman, I can tell you this is not a good appointment, not unless you like negative low block football.

He might be good at nurturing young talent though.

Fortunately for him its not needed, plenty of players lack physical side of the game but still do well. Both Silva's city have had for example.

Harvey is the same size and weight as David Silva and Xavi, very similar to Iniesta.

Now obviously they are all outrageously good footballers, some of the best we've seen in modern times, but they should be the role models for Harvey imo.

I know he started as a wide forward at Blackburn but he's not got the attributes for that role imo. Nor a classic no.10. He should watch every minute of Silva playing in the PL for City.

Think this is a free article - interesting analysis of potential CB for us:

Hes got the work rate tbf, does look a bit chubby in the eng u21 kit rn. Still young enough to learn, i felt he did improve a bit pressing angles. Still needs to stick a foot in more and actually add something to his work rate but again hes young enough to adapt that part of his game. Ultimately needs playing time to do so, no good being on our bench again really.

I’d be happy to keep him at the club because he obviously loves Liverpool, he’s a quality squad player but he wants to play and I don’t think a loan is going to do it for him. Probably the best outcome for everyone is he moves on to someone like Brighton or Palace. We get £40m which is great for the psr but I’d include A sell on clause in any deal and maybe a buy back clause.

Would it effect our PSR though ? He didn't come through our academy, he came through Fulham's academy, albeit he joined us when he was 15 years old, but is he one we can say 100% profit ?

Kerkez completes Liverpool move with spending to pass £200m
Liverpool have completed the signing of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez in a £40m deal, with the Premier League champions' summer spending set to pass the £200m mark.

Sky Sports News understands the 21-year-old defender has signed a five-year deal to become head coach Arne Slot's latest signing of the window.

Liverpool have already brought in Jeremie Frimpong for £29.5m from Bayer Leverkusen and his club-mate Florian Wirtz for what could become a British-record £116m move.

Liverpool also agreed a £29m deal last August for goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will officially join the club from Valencia on July 1, taking the Reds' spending in the summer transfer window to over £200m.

They can't just add money paid last summer to this seasons transfer activity.

I was so shocked when the usual knee jerkers started questioning FSG last summer... I was like really?? Again??

FSG were terrible at signings for the first 5 years, but after that they have been probably the best in the league!

Hell yeah, exciting times.

Not even a strained defending in the 80s debate could be bring me down right now

Yeah, I've never seen a new manager not backed the way Slot was not backed last summer.

FSG spent all last summer pretending that there was no players in world football that could improve our midfield.

We were right to criticise the club last year. Slot did miracles by winning the league without any incomings which is why it was mentioned over and over.

We didn't win the league because the club didn't make any moves in the market. We won the league in spite of that.

Fortunately, for the criticism the club deserved last year for a lack of ambition, they deserve praise for rectifying that this season.

Wouldn’t say he did miracles. He had one of the best squads, if not the best, to work with and won the league with it. Players bought last summer who had a full season under their belt in a revamped midfield. He did a good job considering it was his first season but I’d hope to see more rotation and therefore fresher players in order to compete in the cup competitions better than last season.

Further to this the club did attempt to buy players but unlike many other clubs instead of just buying for the sake of it, they hold the money back then use it to get the prime targets next time, which has worked in the past and looking at the business so far this summer it would be surprising if it doesn’t work again.
