I doubt it to be honest. They're poor and Brugges have been a good settled side for a few seasons now. Also the manager isn't good enough.

Went to the Linfield game against Shelbourne last week. Referee had a shocker and ruined the game after 18 minutes. Might go to tomorrows game in Belfast if my son remembers I told him I'd take him

Kobbie Mainoo being forced out is surprising isn't it, I cannot understand Amorim playing Bruno deep and forcing Mainoo out. He's wickedly overrated but losing him at the behest of a manager that might be gone in a month or two is crazy

After Rashford though, to be expected I guess
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really. Amorim's system needs a two man midfield and he wants to play his best player and therefore needs a defensive player next to him. He then has players ahead of Mainoo. If I were a United fan I'd be losing it and wanting the manager out. System doesn't work and they're losing players that work in systems most other managers would use and bringing in players that may not.

Yeah - I moved just outside last year. More value and closer to work. Little did I know, I'd be getting a new job in the city centre. Oh well.

Big move man, braver man than myself.

I went on my own to Tenerife last year and I found that a bit daunting

We're saying the same thing I think? Any other system than 5-2-3 and Mainoo prob plays deeper with Bruno further forward

Yeah. I was just pointing out that it isn't surprising. What I found more surprising is McTominay being bombed out who was perfect for a two man midfield.

I always liked Mainoo, I wonder where he will end up.

Spurs would be good for him and them, I think.

Mainoo is so slow, he’s not made for a midfield two at all, but then neither is Bruno.

It’s just a silly formation for the players on their books.

Saying that, I’d it Mainoo miles off say Elliott in pretty much every department and it would be no surprise to see him go the same way as Macheda. Thanks for the goal, but actually you’re probably not that good.

I'm not sure. I guess it depends on what 'great' is? For me they are very light and the squad is quite young.

Yeah true, but I think they are going to have a credible season (by their standards).

Hopefully Palace go in for him, we can then move for Wharton.

Thats how it works isnt it ? I am being told all the time we need dominos to fall to make our moves.

posted on 27/8/25

I’d prefer Palace I think, Spurs could be a bit of a threat.

Saying that, if we loaned him (my preference) and he was allowed to play against our competitors but not us, and Spurs will take points from our rivals I’d have thought, and have already.
