For me there's some simple ways to make VAR better. Give it a time limit. You have 30 seconds (for example) to tell the ref to take a look and then he has another 30-45 to speak to you and decide. If it's too hard to call in that time then leave it.

Dont think they get involved in too much just think they over analyse everything. With the time limit you balance pace of the game with actually trying to get correct decisions while accepting it can't be perfect. But would be immeasurably more accurate than pure on field ref.

IMO, this is easy to say but would look silly in practice and in reality.

The way I see it, the solution is to make refs explain decisions in real time and let the public hear the discussions between the refs as they happen. The moment VAR becomes involved, the mics are immediately opened to the whole stadium.

With time, this will lead to better officials and better officiating.

Joking aside, just before he took it I was thinking it was in a poor position. Too far out to shoot, too central to put it into the box effectively.

He was immense to though, yet again. Big improvement from Kerkez and Konate too.

Interesting how that Jones for Macca sub was a difference maker. Macca was really struggling physically today. Jones shields his body so well and did so for the goal.

Yeah Jones was really good. Also Gomez was brilliant when he came on but Term wanted him sold for 10m

Mac still doesn't look match fit and probably also doesn't help he's now being woken up 5 times a night on dad duty

That was a huge win for you today, wasn't much between the two teams if honest and it wasn't a classic BUT all you want from games such as this is three points, you and Arsenal will only have approx 4-6 games where it's up in the air for the result so getting the win is important

Kerkez and konate were class today considering the pelters they (probably rightly) had for the first 2 games. Wirtz was a lot better today too and a couple of times I thought the movement of others around him was poor and limited what he could create. But heading in the right direction

Wirtz will get to grips over time and then soon we will see a class player.

Kerkez nullified one of the most quickest and trickiest players in the league.

9 points out of 9 and we yet to see the best of Salah and Wirtz. Isak too

VVD great defending just gets normalised. He is simply the best.

I think the bigger picture here is Wirtz playing behind Isak. That’s when things should really click.

Totally out classed them second half, by far the better side!

Looks like Konate had cramp. Good news.
