Got to be honest.........I quite like the look (from the trailer) of what they've done with Godzilla.

The one in the 90's with Mathew Broderick was far too cheesy.

Might go and see it. Imdb has given it good review too. 7.9 out of 10 on IMDB is incredibly good.

X-Men first class was very good I thought. The other films I thought were a bit of a let down tho. The constant obsession with Wolverine for example.

New one looks good

You can't trust IMDB to start off with SE85. Godzilla was 8.6 not so long ago. What happens is the people who loved it vote straight away whereas the people who don't rate it wait a while. It'll probably be closer to 7. 0 in a few weeks. Still a reasonable score.

The movie is kind of review proof. All I can say is that if you're expecting an awesome monster movie with decent human characters you will love this. Faaaaaar better than the shitt 98 one.

Really wanna see both.

IMDB is crap

The movie starts out slow and builds until the end. People clapped and cheered 2x during the movie. If you were waiting to see a nonstop monster battle or a campy, feel good Monster movie...this is not it. This movie has a Dark tone with well developed characters. The characters that do survive...go through hell! You could tell that they had to hold back some in order to maintain the PG 13 rating. Kind of had a Prometheus / Alien feel minus the Gore and Language. Must see.

Agree with Bunteh- IMDB is a load of crap - Why let other unknown people, who make not have the same interests as you, make your mind up for you? And put you off watching something? I just dont understand it. Reviews are biased, opinionated and subjective.

I thought it was barely above average. 12 minutes if Godzilla. Terrible human characters. Ridiculous script and a shockingly 'crowd friendly' cheesy ending.

Effects were great but this was barely as good as Pacific Rim, itself a total parody of Godzilla films. This was my most anticipated film of the year, and it was just meh.

Fed up of these so so boring military characters taking lead roles and single handedly contributing toward saving the whole world.

Other than that Godzilla was great. The daddy of monster movies!

Are you scared of the dark?

Very average. Awful ending and some ridiculously cheesy parts along the way as well. Acting was pretty good, but it doesn't make up for the bad parts. 4/10

Ain't gonna watch it but I'd imagine it would be enjoyable in a proper big cinema. That's the problem with modern blockbusters, they only work if you're in a big cinema because they rely on the sound and visual effects and not on anything else. They're basically no different to a ride in an amusement park.

Godzirra looks quite good from the trailer.

But X-Men will go back in time and rape the original that's how amazing that's going to be.
