It's not just Peter holding up the stadium it's the governments non action to which it has been on hold for over a year now.
I fully support Archway and their stance, at the end of the day this is his livelihood and his family business, your business should come first, and when he get's an offer he's willing to accept only then should he move business,
It's not like we have a world class team to play in a brand new stadium anyway
"Yes, they own the freehold"
Oh dear, Levy.
Of course he may be counting on a CPO seeing things his way, but Karma may have repaid him accordingly by the length of the review process.
"If this was the case then the Government would have reached a conclusion very quickly. The fact it it has taken +14 months and further submissions were made to be considered suggests that an agreement was never reached"
Or perhaps the CPO review(s) back(ed) the Archway valuation and Levy has (re)appealed ??
Just build the stadium somewhere else
Spurs are not relocating to Milton Keynes, Hengy. <dream on>
Changing subject slightly, when does pre-season training start? anyone know?

Good old Thudd , always sticking up for anyone else before Spurs.
Fact is the CPO procedures are in place not to make the effected party rich but to make sure they are not out of pocket. They should get a fair price.
The government are the ones to blame, the owner can hold out for whatever they like. Facking Govt should make a ruling quick-smart

If they had appealed we would have known about it.
"If they had appealed we would have known about it."
It seems to have that special concoction that only a combination of Levy and govt teaboys could have made.
I'm surprised Levy has not got more angry about this situation...he does not seem the sort to passively sit and wait, unless it suits him of course.
Is this CPO a convenient excuse masking the real reason for the stadium inaction?

I am not pleading victim, I am saying the the owner is well within his rights to want what he wants, and is not responsible for the delay. The delay is by the decision makers.

From the limited info available about the stadium, most sources point to the build beginning towards the end of this year and that would fit into the time frame for a 17/18 season opening (emirates took 2.5 years to build). You'd expect the matter of finance to be largely in place by now (and who knows if it is) but if there is delays from the CPO thing, which if it went to appeal and EU courts could add months/years, then this uncertainty is probably hampering the financing position.....not so much that we cant find the finance but that just that not everything is in place to be able to tie up the financing position.
In simple terms (just for Groovy's benefit), who would lend you money to build a house when you don't even own the land
In simple terms
If my dad was a billionaire I would not need to borrow money to build a house,he would build and pay for it for me,shame my dad ain't Joe Lewis.
We don't own the land.
When we do we'll build it
Finance ..............without a doubt.
groovy shouting about things he knows nothing about as usual!
The finance is in place & Levy does not jump up & down. He just gets with the cards he is dealt with cooly & calmly!
Devonshire
If it was your business and you valued it at £3million, and say for arguments sake they offered £1.5! Being a spurs fan would you realistically accept the offer?
I know I wouldn't, not sure you understand the financial complications that come with moving a business and the potential problems along the way
Why should he accept a lesser offer? You're all seeing this from a fans point of view,
