And i mean one which is accessible to everyone. Not expensive or inefficient alternatives.
I am aware that such technologies do exist, but they do not ever seem to make it on a global scale.
Israel itself has peace groups of course these are largely branded self hating Jews and other nonsense by those with an agenda.
Your bit about only Jews commiting atrocities in the last 1000 years is clear rubbish. Hitlers Na zi Germany was Christian and they were they biggest nutters of modern times.
The holocaust was certainly an atrocity!!
But if we are going to talk about evil groups what about white people?
Hitler, Stalin and millions of victims of their economic interests outside of those 2. If there is a group to fear based on their record and kill count over the last 100 years then White people take it by a landslide.
Not that this means absolutely anything in reality, previously doing bad things doesn't automatically justify anything that is done against you, nor does it justify brandishing an entire group of people.
There's plenty of great white people out there, okay there has been plenty of death destruction and poverty caused by white people but I don't believe that is any reason to judge them all because of it!
The UAE is no longer reliant on oil. Tourism and business trade have taken over as the money maker.
Not sure about Saudi but they do con Muslims every year in ridiculously expensive prices for Hajj and Umrah.

Slight tangent of a question:
What would happen, realistically, if someone managed to develop a genuine alternative to oil? If they were allowed (somehow) to develop it to the point where it went to market.....what could the oil companies do if they hadn't managed to stop it during development?
How would countries whose economies are heavily reliant on oil companies react?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Those that have invested wisely could continue to some decent level. Those that are completely reliant on it could quite easily descend into chaos once the money runs out.
At best a sever tightening of the belts, although oil isn't really a factor in this particular fight (though indirectly it has an impact)
Tough to judge its impact on this particular conflict... I imagine Israel will taken what they want by the time we reach that point...
Kash how much and how do Saudi govt make money from Hajj?. Hajj packages usually include the flight and hotel dont they... Are you talking about that? Is there another cost that has to be paid?
Good responses
I'd imagine that the foreign policy of certain countries may be affected by the reduction in need for oil
Mr C, I've not been yet but surely they take a cut hence why it's so expensive?
Tbh . It could mean less funding for Israel as a strategic partner in the Middle East would be less important.
Although votes could still be a factor...

Could it be that this particular truce is holding at the moment?
Yeah. Just googled. The cost of hotels, food, transport, flight goes up tenfold during Hajj especially. Govt gets tax from that.

I do hope that it holds and that talks can take place between the relevant sides.
Inevitably the US will be involved in the talks but i;d like to think the UN might get some input.....

This is how the Israel army celebrate the mass murder.
Don't want to sound pessimistic here and I hope it doesn't....
But things have been relatively quiet on the West Bank and Israel has continued settlement construction in the West Bank. No Palestinian leader can accept these settlements on the majority of the water supplies and Israeli only roads that link them. A potential country can not work like that. Israel simply will not offer a peace deal that includes removing these settlements. The reason they are being built is because it will be almost impossible for an Israeli leader to remove in the future (especially due to coalition nature of Israeli politics) it will simply be too politically unpopular to do.
Hopefully it will all work out though.
The provocative way in which Israel builds its settlements is what gets me. They're trying to get an aggressive response from the Palestinians whose land they are taking but thankfully a lot of them are able to make their protest in a peaceful way. A small victory but as much as you can hope for in that situation really.
