What is Hamas's plan? what do they plan to do if they win the war? what will they do to Israelis if they took control?

Hamas currently are a crazy terrorist group, if over time they actually gained some kind of power I imagine it would be quite similar to the I.R.A in Ireland, their politicians now, there are various links to crime but in terms of hardcore terrorism not so much...

Some of their members were so disgusted they left and formed the real I.R.A

They are far from perfect, the I.R.A but look how far they have come. Or look at Mandela, he was a terrorist now one of the worlds most respected leaders...

Israel arnt the only party guilty of violating ceasefire agreements are they? I dont see the point in finger pointing, it will only bring further warfare

The way I see it, at this moment Israel hold all the cards. Hamas have 2 options

1) Keep fighting a war they cannot win and bring further suffering to their people

2) compromise and seek a peaceful solution

As long as Hamas threaten Israel, they will continue to smite them down. Israel are willing discuss borders and such, only after Hamas lay down their arms and seek a peaceful solutions.

Only then there will be peace talks, both parties will have to compromise. the borders can be established, there will be international observers to keep watch over proceedings. It wont be ideal but it would be better than continues war

There will never be peace as long as Hamas keep fighting. As long as there is war, Palestinians will suffer

They do which is why they are the only ones who can push for peace but clearly they would much rather continue to swallow up Palestinian land whilst having the odd rocket fired at them and a little bit of International condemnation.

The only way to stop this issue is SA style, the rest of the world have to boycott Israel until they realise that some kind of fair peace is far better than what they would suffer under such sanctions.

Unfortunately the Israeli's are tremendously PR savvy and the Palestinians only just seem to be getting the hang of it (Amateurs in comparison)

Dont try to play down rocket attack. no country will stand idle when their settlements get continuously targeted by terrorist attacks.

Dont delude yourself into thinking rest of the world will side with Hamas and impart sanctions on Israel.

Hamas is the problem here, they are a terrorist movement so they are treated like a terrorist movement. If they wont peace, they have to prove they are not just a terrorist movement. They are the ones who have to lay down their arms and enter peace negotiations.

I already answered your question much like the I.R.A they would slowly morph into an actual political party (with dodgy ties to crime) whilst the really extreme members would become so disgusted with them they brake off and form the real I.R.A

Or like Mandela they would renounce violence once the unfairness is corrected.

If you give terrorists such as the I.R.A or the SA terrorists a fair deal overtime they will form into reasonable groups, its a long hard road but Hamas wouldn't have any volunteers to risk their lives if Israel didn't make Palestine hell...

Look at Ireland now, do you think as many Irish people are willing to give up their lives for the I.R.A cause as they were at the height of the troubles?

The answer is a clear no, its almost impossible to completely eradicate the extremism we caused this soon but we have reduced it to an extremely manageable level.

There are more Palestinians that are born in that area than there are Israelis.

This is due to aggressive immigration. Where any Jewish person from around the world can become a citizen of Israel straight away, no problem.

Back to a previous point though, to establish peace both sides must be willing to make concessions and they both can.

The Oslo accords that I keep going on about were the best chance for peace in that area. If Israeli governments, maybe not this one due to Netenyahu not being a supporter of a two-state solution, but a future one, will cause Hamas support to dwindle over night.

Mandela was jailed for terrorism and the the other extreme guy within the ANC was assassinated. Had ANC not stopped the violence and accepted whites, no one would've paid attention to them and their cause. To achieve any sort of peace Hamas has to stop violence and terrorism to have any legitimacy. Then pressure would be on Israeli government to do the right thing like in the case of SA.

Nontheless the ANC renounced violence as their leadership saw the pressure put on South Africa from the rest of the world.

You think because they have up violence this was the ultimate action in securing peace and equal rights? That's delusion.

Outside pressure told, South Africa couldn't continue as it was. If there was zero pressure from the international community, nothing would have changed. Fact.

I said in my first post this morning that Hamas has to be realistic here. More they fight, more Palestinians will suffer. Noone will come to their aid as long as they are classed as terrorists.

Only way international community will take them seriously is if they lay down their arm and enter peace negotiations.

All extremist groups will be rationally and democratic when they take power right? what about Pol Pot? His movement started against the injustice in society, he had plenty of followers, that ended pretty well didnt it? There is no point in useless comparisons with other uncomparable situations like Nazzis and SA. Thats why I suggest you not to do it.

What about the countless truces which involve Hamas stopping their rockets for a while whilst Israel carries on as normal? The Israeli settlements don't suddenly stop getting built during truces, Israeli's still have their own roads across Palestinians territory that only they can use, they still have the lions share of the drinkable water despite a smaller population....

If it was a fight the truces basically involve the Palestinians putting down their fists as the Israeli's continue to batter them....
