I think he has come to terms with it now, so it has helped I suppose.

I'm deadly serious and I will honor it if he achieves this simple goal.. which I know he wont.

Ok I will accept that once upon a time he was a better than average CM. However, he was never on a level close to Pirlo, Gerrard and Scholes. The fact that he has been our standout CM for the last few years just goes to show how much our standards have dropped since the great teams of the 90s and Late 00s.

Not sure why he hasn't gone for Blind as he seems to like him and rate him. Cover at LB, CB and defensive midfield

Regardless of Carricks limited CM ability, he is not equipped for CB. Slow and poor in the tackles. Weak too. Vlaar would be a good option, Hummels a dream.

I would never suggest for a second that he is in the top calibre of CM's but he doesn't suck.

We won't get anywhere winning the league with Vlaar at the back. yes he had a good WC but ask any Villa fan and there is your answer !

If we are playing 3 at the back we should forget Hummels and bid a stupid amount of money for Javi Martinez.
