Shaw is a excellent defensive fb with no weaknesses in his defensive game. He is DECENT going forward. thats why he needs to re adapt his game to play as a wingback. he is our best LB by a distance if we want to switch back to playing with 4 at the back

He's really not great going forward, he's not poor, just not much better than average. Agree that he is good defensively, but you'd be naive to say he has no weaknesses, not many, but he's never really been tested at a high level.

Also agree a back 4 would ensure we see the best of him. It's why with this system, he was a strange choice, not bought with WB role in mind.

That's not remotely true.

He is hardly the perfect defender. Even irwin had weaknesses Ffs. Get a grip.
