I may be wrong Hinton, but I fear that a fully laden Auk will be unable to achieve sufficient air speed velocity to gain adequate lift for a task of this magnitude. I suggest an albatross may be more efficacious in this instance.
Moj I have shed my winter and injury induced fat layer ( well some of it !) So I am going to hang on to the possibility of an Auk-Lift for the moment.
The thought of an Albert Ross lifting me is somewhat worrying ... They are much bigger than they seem on the tellybox... I've heard the beaks are at least an imperial foot long ... So the likelihood that it would look down and peck my sweet eyeballs out is a terrifying certainty .
My advice Hinton - faint an injury, throw a sickie and give the triathlon a miss. You're wasting valuable drinking time
Hinton
We are working on a project involving Puffins with heavy lift capabilities but rather struggling to get it off the ground. Good luck though
Hinton, not doubting your abilities to put in a new personal best, but wouldn't a change of pub venue to one nearer the finish line be more prudent ?
See..? It's this kind of crap that makes me glad I swore off that whole 'exercise' thing all those years ago.
I'd laugh at your plight if it only wouldn't raise my blood pressure to dangerously-high levels.
Just do it quicker Hilton. The pain and feeling of total exhaustion are all in the mind. Lactic acid is for wimps.
Typical builders.
Can only organise a hiss up in a brewery.
Blame poor old sky.
Just back from t'bike shop in t'rotheram ... To find your advice.... puffins or closer pub seem my only chance ... Or give up !
I'll ponder awhile
Couldn't you get one of them fancy i-plod things and stream as you swim, run and cycle?
...and all because the lady loves Milk Tray ! (for the older contingent)
Just out of interest Hinton, are you riding 'Cycle Derby' later this month ?
Ang ... Thinking about the Derby Sportive ..... Tis me Birthday weekend so a good chance of "carb loading" via a Tankard. Are you signed up ?
... Depends probably on how much of the folding is available after blowing some on discounted entry price for The Gauntlet 1/2 iron Tri in June.
2 wellies .... Good thought except I do not fund the Murdoch Skytelly box unless I'm in a boozer...
I feel dirty obviously when watching , indirectly , but a couple of Hail Mary's later and I'm fine.
I think there are a couple of boozers on the ride section ... If its kicked off by then ill bob in and post a slow ride time claim a load of punctures .
Keep the ideas coming !
Earphones in and radio Derby on some device.
No guilt as no sky involved.
May not work to well on the swimming part unless you can do women's method and keep your head so far out of the water your hair doesn't get wet.
Watnall wants me to be a lady !
Dirty Boy
Hinton,my hormones are all over the place.
On another thread Strett described himself as a lactating female and I am still traumatised.

Nah, I don't do hills !
Over for the Cardiff game the day before, but out of cycling action at the moment, due to 'popping a rib'
Perhaps next year and then we could get those other renowned cyclists, RiD & 666 involved ?
Honey glazed Ang ? Or Chinese ?

Probably how I'll end up, if I keep spending the housekeeping on dcfc & bikes
11:50 start time .... I'm going to finish close to kickoff .... Mad rush to a boozer in Etwall then .
No changing, just keep running straight into the Spread'
I'd develop a cough.
The rest is history,
