It's a good suggestion Worksop .... however, my big dream would be a complete breakaway from the FA, UEFA and FIFA none of these organisations have any legitimacy. The takeover of our clubs by fans and the setting up of collectives that mean the community genuinley owns them and all fans can have a say in their club.

The non payment to our owners of any outstanding debts, the bailiffs are welcome to come and try and take our clubs if they like

A league whose teams wage salary cannot be more than the average turnover of all the clubs in that league. If richer clubs want to spend more they have to share some of their money around.

Free TV for all and the ability to watch games without advertising. Local businesses allowed to invest a controlled amount only agreed by all teams in the league.

Any profits from the club are put into football infrastructure ie/ academies, facilities, local coaching staff and community endeavours.

This is done in solidarity with other countries and with a simultaneous movement to boycott, de-legitimise and tackle all remnants of the current footballing administration.

Lines of communication re-opened with professional football players to encourage their returning to the footballing family, setting up a gift economy to support players transitioning from opulence to comfort, loneliness to community, hatred to love

Safe standing to allow for better value tickets for more people.

This plus the European and Global idea posted above, I think would be a good start in returning the beautiful game back to the people. Creating a more imaginative brand of football and bringing the game back into our hearts and out of our pockets.

Along with different managerial structuring and a few other gimmicks most clubs will be competitive in 5 years (guestimate) and we will have a league where skill, innovation, teamwork and fan support will be the determining factors in victory not blood money squeezed from stolen lands and working people the world over.

We used to have local people running our club. Plenty of locals had shares in DCFC, but they lost them when the Doc spent all the money on dross.

The board were local businessmen who presumably were quite rich. I always remember their wives sitting in the Baseball Ground directors box wearing fur coats with rugs over their legs, I reckon they were a bit nesh.

The last rich bloke to run the club was Peter Gadsby, but he wasn't rich enough for some fans who gave him a ton of abuse. So he packed up and we got the 3 crooks. Now we've got a bunch of rich guys from the States and Canada running the show. They seem to be doing a good job, but they will want their cut.

If the club was owned and run by the fans, we would go bankrupt pretty quick. These things do not work in England.

When I was young we had 2 matches live on TV per year, the Cup Final and England v Scotland. Like him or loath him, Uncle Rupert has made watching football much better than in my day!

Take away relegation from the prem league and its finished...a handfull of games that mean anything..people will soon switch off when their is no relegation dogfights to watch

Half the clubs would stop spending due to no fear of relegation, and it would sink very quickly like super league did!

Make no mistake they need us...and we need a better share of the spoils...or cut em off

2 Wellies, I don't think many clubs make any profit. Most make a loss.
If we can't pay better salaries to the good players they would go elsewhere.
I positively do not buy anything advertised at football grounds. I don't have any of their overpriced watery drinks or their revolting looking hot food.
I know a lot of people hate Rupert Murdoch, but he certainly improved the newspaper industry. Have a look at an old newspaper and see how the type is unreadable.
Yes, I believe in justice and everyone getting an equal chance in life. But let's be real, some people will do better than others. I'd like to play like Chris Martin, but I play like Martin Clunes!

Even with Sky charging too much for their football, they have got an excellent product which the terrestrial stations have copied.
And since Rupert got involved there are more live games on TV now, than ever.

Is this the lesser known artistic side of Spart coming out ???

Worksop it's a good point we have more bargaining power than we think and should be using it, but not sure just breaking away would offer a long term solution, the parasites will follow wherever the money's at. I imagine the landlords and masters of our clubs wouldn't be too happy with it either. A complete rebirth I think is needed.

And I may add, the adverts on ITV are far more intrusive than on Sky.

In the unreal chance that England won the world cup, as soon as the ref blew the whistle ITV would announce that they were going for a short (10 minutes) break. At least Sky show the players leaving the pitch and we get the crowd's reaction.

And no, I don't read any of Rupert's papers, The Daily Mail is plenty for me.

Most teams make a loss VC10 cos the owners are happy to see it as a trophy investment, a status thing. I said for profit cos it's tied into growth (whoever is making the most money outside of the game has most of the power, unless they are idiots like Fawaz).

This is what's destroying the game we are fodder for the power games of the rich. As a collective we cannot compete with them unless we change and break the rules.

I'm also arguing for equity not equality, maybe the succesful teams can enjoy a slight financial advantage say 10% more than bottom club, but not one that leads to total monopoly and concentration of wealth.

Again you seem to be apologising for Murdoch, he might have made the newspapers look nicer but the hate filled content of the majority of his papers have been a poisonous propoganda pushing his product with palsied, patronising punditry. So much so that the working man is probably more likely to punch a muslim woman wearing a hijaab in the face than stand up for their stolen football club.

They have an excellent product because they stole it, it was in the commons, yes we didn't have access to TV but a football game was a lot cheaper to watch in real life, what we have gained in access to football technologically we have lost in access to football on a matchday.

We can however have the best of both worlds though free football on TV/Internet and cheap tickets to matches we just need to take it back.

PS Martin Clunes is a pro.

VC10 makes 666 look like Arthur Scargill.

Wellies, to have that attitude we will need to dump Steve for Roy Kinear.

You up for some of that?

There will be no managers Iwas just a few pairs of eyes off the pitch to help with perspective, yet more savings.

The People's Football Association - the gift that keeps on giving.

Roy would have been better than Joe

Thanks Q8, I knew 666 reminded me of someone. Now I know it's the man who started with a big union and a small house and ended up with a small union and a big house.

I see no one has commented on Comrade Benn's will. These reds certainly know how to look after their money, it's others who they have trouble with!!!

Good news Will is in.
