Lambert is definitely one for me. Gets the odd decent result against a good team with about 1 shot at goal and 25% possession. I heard a stat that up until a few weeks ago Villa's total number of shots on target this SEASON was about 10. Seem to win games by luck rather than anything else and when it's going wrong he's clueless as to how to fix it
Like in all elements of sport there are degrees of quality in managers. You have the journeymen like Warnock, Allardyce, Hughes, Redknapp, Bruce etc who will do a solid job achieving their clubs objective of Premier League survival with Cup Runs. Then you have the riskier appointments of Poyet, Monk, Dyche, Irvine, Pearson who have little Premier League management experience who could either sink or swim, but none of which I see potential elite level qualities about them. Then you have the one with potential, ones where you can see they may have that little bit extra, Pochetino, Koeman, Rodgers, Pardew.
Then you have the managers who are a step up in terms of gravitas, sucess, worldly experience, Van Gaal, Wenger, Pellegrini, Mourinho.
Clueless managers in the game?

What about Steve Kean, don't know much about him but saw the video of him pshed talking to a load of Rovers fans in a bar and he really didn't come across as management material.
