Nice try mate. Not my kind of dance.

Klopp in yet another loss and they even lost to Wenger Arsenal to, shows you how fickle some Arsenal fans are. Imagine Dortmund getting relegated.

The word fickle should be banned on this site, 80% of people don't even know what it means.

You are without doubt one of the most blinkered, delusional and hypocritical Arsenal fans I have ever encountered on a forum. And believe me, that takes some doing.

What I have said may not be constructive but there's no way I'm engaging in another circular argument with someone who will repeat the same rhetoric every time our manager is called into question.

For the record though, fans who pay their hard earned cash to go to these games can say or show whatever they want if they feel they aren't getting value for money. You are no one to say otherwise. Especially if banners are being put up at the END of matches and so isn't affecting the team's performance.

Woops. Not you. Meant to put ArsenalWenger's name instead, apologies. Although with that said some of your comments on here have been ridiculous.

Have to agree that ArsenalWenger is a diabolical poster.

Thought the banner was brilliant. Fair play to that group of fans who took it, hopefully it's a bit of a wake up call.

There was nothing disrespectful about that banner. In fact, it's probably a watered down version of what the true fans are really feeling.

Win, Lose or Draw, Wenger is no longer fit to manage the club. He needs to know what the fans really feel.

Klopp > Wenger

Hope we bring him in sharpish.

If Dortmund were to get relegated, would people still want Klopp?

I do however question the wisdom of it's timing.
-------------------------

If it was displayed after a loss, it would have been labelled as reactionary and opportunistic.

If it was displayed before the game, the banner would be labelled as distracting.

If it was displayed during the game, it would have been labelled again as distracting.

The fact that they displayed it after a win is meant to indicate the solidarity of the feeling. Win, lose or draw, Wenger is no longer fit to manage the club.

I get the intent, just think they could be left looking very silly. They now need Arsenal to keep doing badly just to not look silly. A change in fortune for Chelsea with a run of form the likes we know AW can muster for Arsenal and they'll look totally idiotic. They needed to wait until far later in the season to start waving that about. There's still far too much of the season left for Wenger and the team to make them look utterly ridiculous.

Just bear in mind how stupid rival fans and pundits have looked every time they've said "Arsenal won't make ECL" That's how stupid those fans will look if Wenger manages anything resembling progress come seasons end.

Yes but the protest isn't because of this season or any single season. It's the accumulation of number of years of mediocrity. Or do you not acknowledge that we've been mediocre for a good decade now?

BTW, these are away fans that protested. Some of the most loyal fans we have. They actually take time out of their lives to pay and go to watch games. So to question their support to the club is a bit peculiar, I think.

posted on 1/12/14

I certainly don't question their support, they're the hardcore faithful. You know I disagree with them Wenger should go but the wording of the banner alone means I'll respect their opinion as they've presented it with some class and decency about themselves.

I literally just think they're nuts for not waiting. If Wenger manages a strong finish to the season then a retained fa cup and better finish than fourth is by no means out of reach. At that point it becomes very difficult for anyone to complain the club isn't moving forward under Wenger. Thus difficult to justify wanting him to leave.

I'd wait until a time it was harder than saying "Wait until the end of the season" to undermine my position before I started waving a banner like that about.

What you say has been mediocrity, I say was the hard years. I think we can only complain about mediocrity from last season on because the other 7 years of it were a necessary evil to gain the financial muscle we do now have. It's not like he's had millions to spend the whole ten years.

I also feel I'm seeing this issue addressed with transfers, slowly but surely. Itll translate to the pitch over time.
