I totally understand what you are saying but also the point that Serial is making is that YOU can't say who are supporters of AFC and who isnt. Whether those guys are pillocks and wasn't being constructive, they are still Arsenal fans, who travelled far to watch their team be 3-0 dwn by half time to Stoke.

If you feel that the ‘fans’ behaviour is appropriate for grown adults attending a sporting event then we have nothing more to debate
----------------------------------

I'm not sure where you got this idea from, so perhaps instead of being overly sensitive, how about you take a chill pill and try and turn the fake outrage down a bit.

To abuse someone who has achieved so much for Arsenal is a total disgrace, and anyone who wishes to defend or support their conduct should be ashamed of themselves.
-------------------------------

To abuse anyone is a disgrace, so not sure why his achievement should have anything to do with it. And again, for someone who has no clue what was actually said outside of a noise filled video clip of some fans booing and jeering, I really think you're going way overboard. It's actually cringe worthy reading your comments, to the point that your comments, and many of those who are displaying this fake outrage, is actually more embarrassing than the video itself.

These fans have the right to boo and jeer. Why you should feel that's embarrassing on more a reflection of your sheltered life, than anything on our fanbase.

If YouTube not working or something? Can't get on it, I only watched the video once so I wasn't to see how terrible this so called abuse is.

AFCISMYTEAM

I take your (and Serial’s point).

I am not telling anyone what they can or cannot do.

However the behaviour of a select few towards AW is not becoming of someone who is considered a ‘supporter’ of the club.

How is leveling abuse at anyone deemed to be supportive?

What do they think the abuse will achieve. AW is certainly not going to resign over it.

Sadly it seems there are those who see nothing wrong by what happened...

It's an unclear video with a bunch of fans booing and shouting at Wenger while Wenger walks by smirking.

But yeah that is SOOO VILE and SOOO ABHORRENT

This fake outrage is getting ridiculous now.

Wenger's been a football manager for over 20 years now, and is paid almost 8 million pounds for doing so. I'm sure he didn't lose a wink of sleep over it.

-----------------------------------

They buy tickets, home and away, and spend their time and money following the club, home or away. Whether you like it or not, they are supporters.

What's most confusing is your total lack of questioning as too why would these otherwise super loyal fans behave so aggressively towards the manager

Weird how people confuse supporting Arsene Wenger with supporting Arsenal, when they are not linked at all.

posted on 8/12/14

Supporters should not behave how those guys did. I really think it was more of testosorone, travelling long then watching us lose made some of those guys snap.
I still dont think it is right at all, but a little bit of me can understand it.

But Chris, are you suggesting that Arsenal existed pre-Wenger and will continue to exist when Wenger has long gone?! Because some of the comments suggest he is the club.

posted on 8/12/14

I just watched the video again. Like I don't see the big deal. There are a group of people there, who are angry and boo Wenger. One guy shouts "get out of my club" which is not abusive. Another guy shouts "fúck off" which is abusive and shouldn't have been said.

But yea, you ignore the fúck off part of the video, I guarantee, not a single comment on this article would be any bit different. People would still be crying fake outrage, people would still be calling those fans abusive. People would still be saying Wenger doesn't deserve that. He doesn't deserve that to be fair but he doesn't deserve the £8M a year he has conned our club for either, who in turn con said angry fans for every year with never ending ticket price increases.

I personally would never go after Wenger and boo him, I have better things to do in my life. But I really don't see why the people in this video have been so widely criticised.

I didn't like how they were shouting 'Joel get out while you can' though.

Rock solid advice, tbf. Needs to save his career while he still can.

posted on 8/12/14

Yea for sure but he doesn't need to be told that.

Listen again.

They're actually shouting 'GIROUD, get out while you can...'

That's why Arsene is smirking.

tbf, i think it was Joel's agent shouting that at him.

Just to be clear. I want AW replaced. That is not going to happen a few months into a three year deal, and no amount of protests (whether civilised or not) will change that.

However the “fake outrage” (to the videos - there are a few, as some were removed from You Tube due to offensive content) as some refer to, would appear to be indicative of the majority of the footballing community.

I guess it just depends on personal/individual view on what is considered reasonable adult behaviour.

posted on 8/12/14

WWSPD, i am genuinely shocked that you've managed to follow football for this long and yet find the jeers and boos towards Wenger that offensive.

posted on 8/12/14

I am obviously been Wenger Out..been saying for this for over 6 seasons now...but the swearing was wrong, the boo'ing wasnt that bad!

posted on 8/12/14

The people who did it legit have no life that football means that much to them that they wait for Wenger to boo and abuse him.

There's a real world out there, move on and get on with your life ffs. Really sad individuals these are, I actually feel sorry for them in a way.

OK. So you're criticising the fans for being better supporters than you are?!

posted on 8/12/14

Those fans were probably waiting for a train back to London themselves. I doubt they took time out of their day to travel across that shíthole just to boo them.

posted on 8/12/14

Yes, those fans were travelling on the same train. They had to wait outside so that HM Wenger could get in it first.

Better supporters, good on them.

There is a point you need to realise there's a real life out there though. If football means that much to you I'm pretty sure there must be something lacking in your life.

You might be right, but you cannot dispute that fact that they are the most loyal set of fans in the club that you support, Dog/Rob.

So again, i'm not sure why you think you're expertly qualified to criticise whatever actions they allegedly committed.
