A judge doesn't convict

And anyway, the answer is no. We aren't sticking up for a rapist, just questioning the conviction that is made with a distinct lack of evidence.

If he has been found guilty by a UNANIMOUS jury and the judge does not allow appeal, the evidence must have been quite damning. Remember, the judge passes sentence based on the jury's findings and the evidence heard. If a judge has doubts, it's reflected in his summing up and sentence. This judge obviously had little doubt.

Fed up with reading defences of a man who shouldn't receive sympathy. I'm also shocked by how many men (and I am a man) think it is alright to force themselves on a woman. Séx should be an act between CONSENTING adults and this should serve as a warning to everybody. It is actually very difficult to get a rape allegation to court in the first place so I'd say that the chances are that the guilty verdict is correct rather than the other way round. He is just using his position and power in society to make excuses.

Do your time, shut your mouth, say sorry and people will let you get on with your life. Making more waves is not the way to help people accept you back.
