It was a straight 4-4-2 for the last 25 mins 2w, no hint of a diamond. Hendrick went wide on the right & Ward was wide left.

MILF,

Grant is good enough for the Prem, best in the Championship for me

....................."far distant 606-ers in NZ, Finland, The Hebrides, Ireland, California, East Anglia and beyond" was what I wrote so I apologise for including you in the "beyond" bit.

It is interesting to hear how different the game seems to different fans.

Mmmm a straight 4-4-2 with Oscar and Hughes in the middle??? Well I never, I presume that means Hughes was very immense.

Risking the wrath of Spart was it a little bit 4-4-1-1 or very very 4-4-2? Would those of you that witnessed this constellation not since the years of Nigel Clough advocate for us starting with it?

2 Wellies. There is not one of our squad in whom I don't believe. When we have an injury or a suspension, there;s almost no worry about who might come in.

Eustace and Hughes and Martin are the hardest gaps to fill. Fortunately - this years Martin has been an ever-present.

Ramdini,

Derby were in control last night but struggled to break Blackburn down until Bent came on. I honestly thought it'd be 0-0 but at last McClaren has worked out a plan B.
Consistency is the key for the rest of the season

I did kinda like the 4-2-4 plan B though, chuck all our attackers on, however since Sammon has gone to reignite Rotherham's promotion push, we have relied on it less and less

I'd like to see Albentosa involved but there's no-one you can leave out. A very happy place to be. Not like the far end of the A52. There there's nobody they want to put in.

Jorvik. I think many of us wondered where the goals would come and were mightily relieved when Bent put in the first one and then made it safe with a second. I think that is a measure of how tight Blackburn were.

I think in a few of the easier games as long as we maintain standards we can afford to rotate a bit at the back. It's difficult though cos it's rare that SM brings on a full back or central DF as a substitute, but long season ahead of us still, his chance will come, maybe the 3-5-2 will come back???

It was 4-4-1-1 but I didn't want to confuse you, I know you're not well read on formations etc

Wellis last night Martin played behind Bent & looked good TBH

Martin & Bent look to have a very good understanding Jorv

Martin looks great in that position, no sulks - no attitude - just some great balls for Bent v Blackburn and v Chesterfield.

Cheers Milf it is true though I do get confused with tactics especially now with this MOTD lark when it seems like you can play dot to dot with players whilst they're moving. What's all that about?

It's just because they can 2w, just because they can.

MILF,

My initial thoughts on Bent have been allayed after seeing him last night, both look class together

One of the commentators drew a trapezium between 4 midfielders and called it a perfect square even though there was rarely a right angle let alone all 4 occurring simultaneously.

I give up..

Some time ago in the season, I said that Bryson was not himself. Bryson has been on the bench for the last couple of games.

I'll now say the same about Hendrick - there is something bugging him as he is not the enthusiastic power-house we saw last season.

View,

McClaren gave him praise last night, but I thought he was average myself

If the Forest fan thinks Hendrick is below par, why can't Schtevie see it?!

Will both Omar and George, when back be able to be accommodated starting?

posted on 28/1/15

I doubt there is room for both but I can see Hendrick or Bryson having to be rested. But let's not count our chickens. George has hardly started training yet.
