Gotta give Redders some credit. Also a bit of stability with numb nuts Cellino off the scene.
1. Consistent coaching/Steve Thompson
2. Cellino not causing distractions
3. A good crop of players finally gelling
1. Redders, using the acadamy players he nutered and kept faith in.
2. Thompson, been a useful right hand man to Redders
3. The Fans - getting behind the team
Confidence, a little more steel, Thompson coming in to assist Redfearn.
Stability
Thompson
Cellino out of the picture
Cellino realising he could not run the whole show with such a big club and bringing others in.
Redders having the b a l l s to drop players and trust the youngsters.
Steve Thonmpson's arrival.
Cellino
----------------------------------
It that the same Cellino who would have sanctioned the arrival of Bamba, Steve Thompson & NR picking the team he chooses each match?
(But no denying he is a nuisance/distraction at times)
The same Cellino that would not sanction Thompson for weeks.
Think where we could be now if Cellino hadn't dragged that out.
Everything changed when Cellino took over.
It's just been a bit of a learning curve but basically he stopped the rot.
No denying that
By far the biggest single factor in the improvement is the fact that GFH are no longer in charge.
IF Cellino and i know its a big if, but if we got promotion under his guidance next year, would the haters give him the credit he would deserve?
Or would they praise everything else bar him?
Rich, if we get relegated, buck stops with Cellino, it's the same if we get promoted.
Silly question really.
Thats cool, just checking Jonty.
Same apply if we get a top 10 finish for the first time since 10/11?
It's not a silly question when you say things have improved because Cellino is not around
Academy lads
NR & Thommo
Bamba
Just read that only Norwich and Watford have picked up more points than us in 2015, contrast that to the same period last year and things are on the up,
Regarding MC he has bought people in to help run the club when he first joined he was trying to do everything by himself so that must have helped and I would like to think he now knows what is required to mount a serious promotion challenge next year. MOT
Bamba has been a big plus.
I wonder who spotted him and sanctioned the move?
rich, which bit of the answer wasn't clear enough for you?
Someone needs to get laid ...
Fingers crossed we all get sing his praises regarding the progression we have made in achieving a top 10 finish at the end of season then!
all of us United for once, cant wait
Don, I hope so, but Umbers at loggerheads with Redfearn does not bode well.
So far Redfearn has wanted Becchio, been refused.
Didn't want Wooton back, got over-ruled.
Said we need loans, been told squad doesn't need loans.
If another club comes in in the summer and offers Redfearn managers job, not coach, but manager, with autonomy on transfers and a more stable environment, we have a chance of losing the guy who is starting to get results for us and are then at the mercury of Cellino's external head coach appointment policy, which for us, has been woeful.
your saying its woeful but want to keep a guy he appointed?
Still not sure about Redfearn Jonty, can't deny he's doing well but your two examples above make me think. And I don't know why we need loans when we are safe we have plenty of players.
