Juventus went from 7th in 2010/11 to undefeated in 2012/12..

They also went from Serie B to 3rd...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What about the turnover of players and management?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They lost most of their first team except for Buffon when they got relegated.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is just not true. Stop telling fibs.

Not really thought that through have you Mudd.

I have, a certain manager said it, not the rest of us.

What was his name again, escapes me now

Yep. Some very good teams in the competition and all worthy winners. We still have a better spend per trophy than Spurs (who've spent over £600m I may add) and even Everton. I'm really happy with my football club at the moment. We entertain.

Brendan Rodgers and he has a point.

Well if you cant be bothered to do your own research don't expect other people to. I provided examples of what you asked for anyway.

Also, of the 20 players that we lost, how many of these players were any good? Vidic and Evra were probably the only ones still capable of doing a job and even they were far past their best.

I am intimately aware of what happened when Juve got relegated. You clearly are not.

Who said we lost 20 players? Can you people not read?

So why is his team not doing it? Incompetent management?

Seven key players were sold to other clubs during the summer of 2006: Emerson and Italian national captain Fabio Cannavaro both rejoined Fabio Capello at Real Madrid, Cannavaro’s colleague Gianluca Zambrotta and French defender Lilian Thuram were signed by Barcelona. Patrick Vieira moved to Inter Milan along with striker Zlatan Ibrahimović. Adrian Mutu was also sold to Fiorentina.

We've lost a world class player and underachieved at home earlier in the season.

Juventus undoubtedly the biggest team in a shocking Italian league doing that is gona be alot easier than Utd in a competitive English Premier League.

It would be unheard of for a team that finished 7th to challenge for the league to be fair.

LVG had a fully fit squad(almost) for months and we are 10 months in to the season. These excuses maybe valid 4 months ago but not anymore. There is no excuse for a manager for failing to implement an effective game plan best suited to the squad after being in charge for 10 months.

If we fail to get top four its mainly down to the incompetence of LVG.He made too many mistakes and took an age to rectify them. He seem to be in the right path at the moment but it could be too far too late.

Which months has he had this fully fit squad?

posted on 11/3/15

Fully fit squad for months, come on for God sake. Implementing Blind, Rojo, Herrera, Di Maria, players who need to time adjust to football and life in England. Luke Shaw a 19 year old will need time to adjust to the pressure of being at a team like Utd. A squad that lost a good 10 first team players in the summer. 10 months isnt that long to get that sorted mate.

We had a fully fit squad(almost) since January.

10 months is enough time. Jose in his first season didnt need 10 months. Koeman didnt take 10 months.

LVG isnt getting the best out of the squad. His team setup exposed all the weakness in our players rather than getting the best out of them.

Luke shaw would have settled in far better if LVG didnt try to turn him in to wing back early in the season

Are you seriously comparing Southampton to Utd? When teams play us and Southampton, how do they set up?

He has had a fully fit squad since January? Shaw, Carrick? Rafael?

You say he is not getting the best out of the squad but has them with more points, in the top 4 and conceding less goals.

This is not a quick fix, people need to get that.

Southampton are falling off the cliff by the way. Mourinho failed last season as well. Pellegrini is failing in this one and Wenger's team is just a point ahead of us.

Perspective

Clubs may change but the basics of coaching remains the same. Lack of an effective offensive or defensive game plan has been the main reason behind our lackluster performances. Jose, Koeman and even rodgers to a certain extend showed that its not impossible to implement an effective system while integrating few new/foreign players in to the squad.

Nobody is saying itll be a cake walk, but a highly decorated manager earning top dollar at top club should be doing better.

Considering we are within touching distance of second place he is doing a decent job

posted on 11/3/15

He is doing a decent job results wise(so far), He is not doing a decent job performance wise(so far). Performances usually catch up with results at some point during the season, which is the reason Im not looking forward to our next set of fixtures
