You're right Peni. Leicester and Burnley will be strong next season so could be play offs again. I would like more experience in the side rather than young loanees as they tend to go missing.
A bit too much ball nuzzling Peni. Don't right off Thorne. He'll be fine. Just not this season.
Forsyth is absolutely shocking in my opinion. He is languid, lanky, slow in action, slow in thought-process. His choice of pass and ball distribution is dire.
A clear weak link in the team who has cost us several points this season alone from his mistakes.
We will always struggle, defensively, with him in the team.
We must do better
Is he right Iwas?
Take Bamford, wisdom and Thorne out of last season's side and we'd have been way off. Same this season with Ibe and Ince, both of whom contributed more that any of "our" players would have, if they'd been fit.
We don't have enough players of our own at the right level to be top 6 so need to bring in loan players.
And choosing to replace Christie but not Forsyth? Jeez! Forsyth is shot to pieces. You can see in the way he walks that he's lost it. Warnock has to play Monday.
Baz, we obviously agree re Forsyth. I think it's a confidence thing rather than lack of ability. Do you think he's just not good enough? Seems to me he can be very good one week but then lapses. But I font see him often enough to see any trends.
Peeder . I've been saying it all season. I don't think his form is temporary, although his confidence is shot - and its little wonder.
For me he just isn't made of the right 'metal' to play at this level. He is punching way above his weight.
Scotland must be desparate for left backs!
We simply HAVE to do better. Surely we signed Warnick for a reason? Yes he let himself down on his debut but his experience would be vital at this stage is the season. Surely.
Keogh was superb last night, let down once again by Paul & Barry Chuckle in the full back positions.
Yep. I think its time for Forsyth and Christie to be pulled out now. They are shot on confidence, especially at home. They look a bag of nerves. Think defence for Monday will be Shotton.Albentosa,Keogh,Warnock. Id consider bringing Hanson back in as well as Bryson is well off the pace. Or go 4-4-2 and play Martin & Bent together.
Milf, I agree. Keogh showed last night that he has some of the leadership quality needed.
Baz, Warnock in!
Steve definitely blamed Christie for the first goal and rightly so. Losing the ball unnecessarily in the first place was bad enough but his respose was laughable. Deciding we don't even need a player in that position in the second half was a brave decision and should have paid dividends. Why didn't we stick to playing possesion football when we took the lead. We could have worn the 10 men of Watford down and scored a hat full late on but instead they tried playing the ball over the top. Last 10 minutes reminded me of QPR at Wembley. Just couldn't get the breaks.
Too many attacks have broken down because of Forsyth's distribution but defensively he has generally been OK. Then he had a nightmare against Wolves. Apparently played OK for Scotland.
Definitely play Warnock against Wigan. Not yet convinced about Allbentover so Shotton should stay in the centre.
Russell, apart, from the trip, was totally ineffective last night. Think Steve could have tried Ward in the last 10 minutes.
Who would you play right back Spart if you keep Shotton central?
calero will emerge next season as sub
calero, russel, ward, and hopefully we can buy Ince if we dont go up
We 2 good defenders

wouldnt surprise me if we got Butland as well

Milf knows I thought Shotton was average at best
Thought Shotton played OK last night. We were undone by our wide defenders.
We didn't seem any worse defensively playing Lingard in the second half. I know it was against 10 men but lingard and another wide player to support him. I expect Wigan to be quite physical.
shottons positioning is so poor its unreal. Im only 21,so I know by 25 our club will eventually get promotion
Well I'm older than you by a long way peni, so I hope we get promoted before I find myself in an old folk's home or in the back of a black estate car. I wouldn't mind winning the FA Cup before I pop my clogs either.
There are so many reasons why we have kocked it up recently, but the main one is that we have lost the team spirit. I think I know why, but the culprits seem to be the only ones who can score a goal.
Our manager needs to have a good look at himself and sort the trouble out. He has managed very poorly since February, not good enough at all.
Some posters have criticised the crowd. I think we have turned out in large numbers and the atmosphere last night was fantastic. I wish the players and management were as good.
I'm bl**dy gutted, I don't even think we will make the playoffs.
Where does this talk of a lack of team spirit come from? I saw the whole team celebrating with Bent & I saw the whole team celebrating with Ince.

Nothing to do with Keoghs captaincy and its lunacy to imply that misnomer, collectively as a team we sat back back and invited the Blues on to us ,this was like a wembley re run ,i repeat anyone that still holds on to the
Auto Promo dream need to wake up it will not happen so get used to the play off scenario once again..Sorry
Told you so,
More fan myths MILF. Some fans need to weave a little soap opera around their club.
More to do with our defensive short comings. Even before the current slump we had been prone to defensive lapses which had thrown away points. Conceding 2 goals against a Cardiff side who offered nothing lost us the same number of points as last night.
In fairness to Steve he has tried to strengthen our defence bringing in Warnock and Albentosa. Whether they can do the job is yet to be seen.
Let's just surrender and go home then!
Face of adversity and all that!?
With a little bit more luck, we could have scored 6 last night.
We just need to be Keegan-esque and score more than we concede.
It ain't over till the overweight lass utters a tune!
I think the excellent team spirit of old has gone, you see it when certain players start waving their arms when a pass doesn't come their way.
Of course there are defensive short comings, there has been for ages. People say Shackell shouldn't have been sold, well maybe he shouldn't but he used to make mistakes.
The problem I've got is that the replacement defenders aren't any better than we've already got. Give me a back line of Brayford, Keogh, Buxton, Forsyth any day rather than Christie, Albentossa, Shotton, Warnock. Yes I know Brayford has gone but I reckon Freeman/Naylor would be better than Christie. I'd play Hendrick there now.
People keep slagging off Keogh and Forsyth but the defensive midfield position has cost us too many goals. Forsyth has gone down a bit since Ibe went back and he would do better with Ward in front of him. And Forsyth is better with Buxton in the team. I wish he would just drink his tea instead of chucking it around!
When Nigel was manager I would be happy to be in this position, but with the so called greatest manager since his dad I expect much better.
I am not happy, I'm grumpy.
Feels like Team Spirit eh VC. Over rated. Tommy Smith and Emlyn Hughes used to hate each other but Liverpool seemed to do OK.
Like I always say to 2W, in the end it all about the quality of the players.
That should be smells like Team Spirit. I must have been meditating when I typed that and was reaching Nirvana,
