Do your fingers use a different brain to your eyes?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Why what is wrong with what I said?

Transer window is shut. I made the point that Rooney is best we have till summer at the earliest.

Am I wrong???

----------------------------------------------------------------------

You said cop out, and said I wanted Rooney dropped and the only replacements arm are Falcao and Rooney, you then said you'd happily see him replaced I. The summer if we got someone better, go back through this thread and see all my comments and then Come back and see what was wrong with your comment about me

Why do people get so angry and defensive when it comes to Rooney?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because berks like you go overboard in criticism of him.

Let me guess you want Rooney out but are happy to keep Young n Fellaini in our best 11?

Fecking glad you're not managing the club if you do.

Rooney got injured yesterday and has a history of getting niggling injuries.

Just don't know how we can fix all our problems in one summer? It can't happen. How many signings work out anyway? 50% of them at best. So even if we do sign 4/5 players, likely at least 2 will fail. Going by our past 10 years, many more have failed than 50%, bring it to maybe 70%. So could take a few more years. If we need to replace our captain, replace him with who? We have little leaders as it is. Rooney's role is bigger than his performances. It's an issue.

The Bigger Picture

I never want to see Rooney and RVP in the same side again.

Either one ahead of who we have in the side would be fine. Dropping Rooney for RVP in this system really wouldn't affect us.

Are you drunk?

We can't replace him for the next 4 games, can we? Not unless transfer window miraculously opens.

If we replaced him in summer with a better younger more clinical striker, I'd be all for it. Why wouldn't I be?

I don't think that's going to be the case (in terms of our plans) but I'd be all for it. I'm United fan/follower. Not a Wayne Rooney follower.

I just think people go way too far with criticism of him and easily forget what he has done for us last 10 years. Short memories.

No I'm not saying that, why are you making stuff up?

Rooney hasn't performed that well this season, that's a fact, he's too inconsistent and goes missing far too often. He went off injured yesterday and many including myself are suggesting it is a good time to see what RVP can do seeing as Rooney hasn't been that great in the lone striker role.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is true, however we don't know the extent yet and also he's had way less issues than RVP has.

I tell you something, some people here support Rooney and not united.

What has Rooneys achievements in the past 10 years got to do with whether he should be our main striker these days? You keep bringing it up but it means very little right now, he's in decline.

It's like your weird view that we should never buy another South American as they will always flop?

Am I drunk? Are you? Have you actually read ANY of my comments on this thread, can't actually believe what I'm reading, I genuinely think you've some sort of problem with anyone criticising Rooney and your stock response is to bring up his record from 5 years ago and then resort to calling people idiots

You're assuming we can actually keep RVP on the pitch and also the fact he's barely kicked a ball for weeks. We have 4 games left. By time he's got back going it will be all over.

Like I said, glad you're not the boss.

How about we get Bobby back in the side, club legend.

I have no issue with people having a go at Rooney as long as it's fair and unbiased. He has been poor this season and over last few years.

Was RVP great last season? I thought he was uttter shiiiiite and had a terrible attitude too. He's also had lots of injuries these last 2 seasons. More than Rooney.

People now want to throw him in for final 4 games (which could all be vital) when he's barely kicked a ball for weeks and it's match fit at all.

^ THAT IS MY PROBLEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not with the options we currently have no, but we could conceivably sign a replacement in the summer

I know he is, I haven't said drop him, but we could sign a replacement in the summer who would suit this system much more, a mobile CF with pace who will run in behind and stretch defences

We're not talking about RVP and Falcao

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cop out

If you want Rooney dropped like some do on here, then it's one of the above to come in.

Like i said.....if we can replace Rooney in summer with a better striker then great. I'll be all for it. I don't think it's likely but I wouldn't be against it.

RVP is finished at the very top. A move to Turkey or the MLS beckons.

Falcao's injury has ruined him.

Do you see now why I think you're high, drunk or otherwise?

Van Gaal threw Falcao on at the weekend ahead of RVP. That shows you how far away from fitness he is. He played about 50 mins for our ressies at Leicester and that's it in WEEKS.

I think you all think he's the 2012/13 RVP that will be coming in at weekend.

It's going to take him 3 or 4 games to even be match fit and firing. We only have 4 games left.

posted on 27/4/15

Sorry Mex I mixed you up with other guy. Apologies. I'm the drunk one.

Rooney is our best bet in final 4 games.

Not if he's injured he's not.

Well obviously, but we don't know he's definitely out next weekend do we?

LVG starts Rooney upfront at weekend if fit. 110%.

And I'm sure he will, I've never said otherwise. But if he does then I want to see more as apart from the Spurs and City games he's been poor for a while and should be doing a lot more.

United we win

I really hope he is. I can see pts possibly being dropped if he isn't.

A failing Falcao or a nowhere near match fit RVP won't be enough in my opinion. Not unless West Brom are unbelievably poor.

Agree to an extent.......

However I also want to see Young actually beat a man and put a decent cross in. I also want to see Fellaini create something other than havoc with his elbows.

Rooney is feeding off scraps. He had 1 chance combined in our last two games, which he should have scored.
