At least we can use the 14m we get for De Gea...
I read this last night.
Lloris to Manchester United and De Gea to Real Madrid?
to who?? whats the clause? champs lge team? does it have to be abroad?
I think this is a big loss for you as I really rate him and he doesn't get the credit he deserves due to other keepers in the prem.

Can't see Levy doing business with United or any other English club.
Maybe someone like PSG.

If it's a buy out clause then I don't think Levy will have much option.
HIGHLY DOUBT DARTH WLD ALLOW THIS KNIDA THING INTO A CONTRACT......
I really hope this is not true. If we continue to sell our best players, that we have zero hope of progress.
If it's too good to be true then it probably isn't.

No reason for Levy to allow that clause. Lloris
was not in his last years of contract when he signed.
We not known to have any such clauses in our players contracts anyway.
Levy selling our best player for that price is a laugh.
He would demand near record fee for a keeper.
it is well known as a club we do not have any release clauses put into contracts. as in none for any reason whatsoever.
we also do not allow any players to reach the end of their contract unless they are not viable to sell such as bentley, gallas, etc. even the likes of obika were forced to sign a new contract before leaving resulting in a better transfer deal for us.
however we do input a sell on clause to every person we sell including kids that do not make a single appearance.
500% there are no release clauses at spurs. not even for staff which is why liverpool paid top whack for the likes of inglethorpe and iqbal.
The Metro story has been changed!
Manchester United’s hopes of activating a rumoured £14million release clause in Hugo Lloris’ Tottenham contract have been effectively ended after it emerged such a clause does not exist.
Reports following an Arsenal Supporters Trust meeting on Monday night mirrored those in France earlier this month – that Lloris would be free to leave Spurs for any Champions League club should Spurs not qualify themselves.
However, Metro.co.uk has learned that Lloris’ contract is watertight and the highly-rated goalkeeper is unlikely to be moving on in the summer – despite many outlets suggesting he could still depart.
Reports that Julien Laurens revealed Lloris’ clause to attendees at the event are said to be inaccurate, although the respected French football journalist was present.
The France international, 28, has consistently been one of Spurs’ best players since signing from Lyon in 2012.
His current deal ties him to White Hart Lane until 2019.
EDITORS’ NOTE: An earlier version of this story ran with the headline Manchester United ‘clear to complete £14m transfer for Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’. It was amended after contact with wider Metro.co.uk sources.
Sell him to Real Madrid please

I am always right.
Al joking apart, the modern journalism is absolutely fecking rubbish. They print so much booooolox, only a 5 year old would believe any of it.
Not saying LLoris will not leave, but it will be for nearer £30 million than £14 million. He has a long contract for a starter.
This was on the c.rap websites at least a month ago and was proved rubbish back then. It's just been dragged out again by lazy journos.
