Super cup. Barca wanna win it.
We will want to get rid of Di Maria first as well. I think that the Pedro deal will be done quickly once Di Maria has gone.
Robb, when is the Super Cup?
he might be holding out for a better club to come in for him, maybe he doesnt want to make the same mistake de-maria made
his mum saying the deal is done
-----------------------------------------
His mum never said anything of the sort. She's supposedly said he will be moving to England.
The hold up I think is Di Maria. We're waiting to complete that deal before we sign Pedro.
Di Maria should hopefully complete his move today and I'm hoping a deal for Pedro can be completed before Thursday.
Sport in Barcelona did report that his last match would be against Roma on Wednesday but if Di Maria's move goes through today or tomorrow, he may have already played his last game.

I just don't see it as being a realistic reason to hold up the deal. I mean, they are going to have to compete for the rest of the season for more important trophies without him (assuming he moves). I can't see 1 game being that important to them really. More likely that the Di Maria move will be the catalyst for us tying up Pedro.
Pretty sure we are triggering a release clause?
Just fecking buy him.
Or maybe, we just aren't in for him.
Why are players' mums suddenly talking to the media so much?
Are people now following these meddling matriarchs on Twitter for the latest ITK info?
He probably wants a new contract
Operation stack is the answer you are lookin for

Super cup. Barca wanna win it.
..............................
They won't be needing him to do that will they?
So this has been rumbling in for a few weeks now with everyone including his mum saying the deal is done, what's the hold up?
.....................
I am going to take a wild stab in the dark over the hold up.
We are not interested in him and this has all been media speculation.
Regarding the super cup, Messi and Neymar have had the preseason off so won't be at their best for the game against Seville. I think they want Pedro there as he's had a full pre season and once that's over he can go
Agree with VC.
Has there been anything solid to suggest we're even interested?
I'd love us to sign him but like VC says, what good evidence is there so far that we are even in for him?
It makes sense that we could be in for him, but until we see an official bid announced, or a medical on the cards or something more concrete, I'm not getting my hopes up.
Why are players' mums suddenly talking to the media so much?
------------------------------------------
It wasn't so much his mum but the president of CD San Isidro (his first club).
This is what he told Cadena SER recently:
"The player was here to run a football camp a couple of weeks ago and his friends already knew about it," explained the club president, "I bumped into his mother in a furniture shop and she told me that Pedro was going to England."
Regarding the super cup, Messi and Neymar have had the preseason off
.............
So what?
Messi and Neymar could both go on a weeks binge before the game and still be twice as good as Pedro.
Sport's latest piece on Pedro:
Pedro Rodriguez and Adriano Correia's last week at Barcelona may have started, if negotiations with Manchester United and Roma respectively go well. In the case of the Canarian, his future may be decided in matter of hours, as vice-president of the English side has made an appointment at Barcelona's offices to give the final impetus to the signing.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday. That's when Manchester United will put their final offer on the table, for an amount around €30million, although the final figure will be dependent on variables. United want to reduce the maximum to around €25m while Barcelona will not part with the forward for less than €30m. In any case, far from the figure that was initially agreed to be his buyout clause in his contract - €150m, signed two days before the Champions League final.
The player already knows his future lies in the Premier League, under the command of Louis van Gaal, who is trying to return his club to the elite of European football.

How good are the 'Sport' journo's, would you be inclined to believe this?
Sounds a bit detailed to be complete bull I guess.
I'm not saying I believe everything that Sport say but I do believe the signing will eventually happen.

Good for you. But the rest of us who understand how good is can understand why Barca want him in the side until Neymar and Messi get fully fit.

Who is this 'rest of us'?
I have seen quite a few posters on here as underwhelmed by him as I am.
I dont think he'd be as underwhelming as ADM though (if he signs).
