I used to think this but now I know... He just can't make it in this league. He has refused to learn like Ronaldo did. Continually cuts inside no matter what wing he's on yet he gets easily bullied off the ball and passes when he's under pressure which means he rushes his pass.
We really fecked up with him and soldado

His confidence in this league is completely shot now and will probably never recover, so get rid

if true this is excellent news.

I said after the weekend that we should be actively looking to sell him as hes a liability

Tbf Lamela looked very good every time I saw him play for Roma so I was pretty excited about him signing too. Trouble is that really hasn't translated to the PL.

Pretty sure we didn't pay his full fee up front and there are bound to be add-ons...£15m might not be such a major hit after all

he is no slower than chadli. definitely quicker than someone like modric. and definitely quicker than sheringham and countless other former spurs players.

he is as weak as a little fairy and has zero game nouse or match craft.

I cannot believe that he didn't bulk up over the summer.

It's not the speed of his legs that's the problem, it's the speed of his thought process that is his main weakness. He looked great in Italy where he had more time, the PL doesn't give him that opportunity.

Back end of last season he started creating chances which looked like he was starting to get a grip on the game. Just gone right back to the beginning now though. Shame, he has talent but just not suited to the league

He looks like a lost child on the pitch Chronic. It is a pity really because I think inside him there is a player there.

If Spurs get 15 million then that will have been good business.

Take the hit move on, every club has to do it with players.

Every player is a gamble. Some we have/will sold/sell on for a big profit (Berba, Modric, Bale, Lloris) and others we'll take a hit on (Lamela, Soldado, Bentley).

It really doesn't matter that much, so long as the overall squad is improving ... which it hasn't over the past few years sadly.

the squad has stayed the same level, but the difference is that before we had older players who weren't pulling their weight, and now we have young players with potential to improve.....

And yet ironically we need older heads to complement the younger players.

Could've really done with signing someone like Cambiasso.
