Notice the quotation marks. I'lll explain what they are if needed.
____

And how to use them correctly, that would be nice.

Anyway, this is getting really boring. It's summed up like this:

Liverpool fans are happy we've got Carroll.
Chelsea fans are happy they've got Torres.
Liverpool fans think Chelsea were ripped off.
Chelsea fans think Liverpool fans were ripped off.

Never the twain shall meet.

Chelsea fans know Liverpool fans were ripped off.

That wasn't a correction, it was a polite request.

carroll was worth about 10m when we signed him. we bought him for 35.
torres was worth about 25m when chelsea signed him. they bought him for 50

35-10=25
50-25=25

we were ripped off the same amount

Funny wasn't Carroll worth 500k the year before.

carroll was worth about 10m
====

Correction.Carroll's value was £500,000 in Newcastle's club accounts so basically you overpaid by £34.5m

Torres was worth 70m (based on his career to date) but we paid 50m for him. Bargain.

Mike Ashley valued Barton at £0.

Is this a fair respresentation? No.

You two are very very childish.

The clubs accounts valued Carroll and also stated he was expendable.

_____________

That would be the same year you boys were slagging Torres for being 'past it', 'made of glass' and 'injury prone', aye?

that doesnt mean anything. the whole 'form is temporery, class is permanent' doesnt work if torres hasn't been consistent for over 2 years

I can't believe this thread is still going.

Robbing Hoody

You're one of the decent lfc posters so I'll level with you here . This whole wumming about Carroll/Torres started when Torres moved over to us. Majority of your lot on 606 werent able to handle it and posted article after article on our board about Torres. Smacked of bitter jealousy. Hence why we did the same and mocked you about Carroll

posted on 30/8/11

It's not, it's on permanent loop.

Mr Chelsea- (U3579)

Fair enough. I think our attitude is exacerbated by the fact that all our signing have been slated by all rival teams.

The clubs accounts valued Carroll and also stated he was expendable.
-----------------------------------------------

Ask their fans whether they thought that though. This is your problem Tola. You reply on sound bites, conjecture, generalisations and the like. It makes you a bit of a joke.

Who gives a toss about what an inept owner and his accoutants valued Carroll at? How does this evaluation, by businessmen not football men, effect whether he can kick a ball accurately with his left foot?
