Strange appointment, cant see it working for liverpool. To high an expectation from the fans considering the quality of the players they have.

I don't know a single Liverpool fan who expects us to challenge for the league, you might get some fools on twitter but in the real world I honestly don't know one.
Also Klopp will get plenty of time as a club we give managers time, bar Roy who was horrible and not wanted in the first place.

When are British fans going to understand that foreign coaches are used to delegation and more limited responsibility (used to it and like it), than a traditional (old fashioned) British style?

Aware of the structure Klopp worked under in Dortmund – has been widely reported.
My question, is why LFC continue to use this nonsensical transfer committee – and why would Klopp wish to work within its constraints? Who exactly are in this committee?
It appears Klopp will have exactly the same problems BR faced.
That said it's great to have him in the PL!

He's meant to be bringing his chief analyst and scout with him so if he does and the committee continues I assume he will be on it.
Totally agree that this idea of a committee is wrong especially as it's got some non football men on it like Mike Gordon.
But if Klopp has final say and has people he trusts on it then hopefully it will work out.
What annoys me most about this committee is why even call it a "transfer committee" it just opens it up to questions, call it the scouting department and no one would bat an eyelid.
In essence it's not so much different to a DOF but with several people on it and it being unclear who has final say it lacks accountability.

On a serious note, I think Sturridge should definitely change is name to Sturbridge, and save everyone a lot of hassle.
This is probably the most exciting thing to happen to English football since Carlton Palmer got his first cap.
