21st October 2015 - Wolves lose at home to a mediocre Brentford side and have 15 points in the bank.
21st October 2014 - Wolves beat Middlesborough at home and have 23 points in the bank.
If anyone needs more proof that we are weaker now than we were last season here it is.
If anyone thinks we are promotion contenders they need to shake their head and have a talk to themselves.
If Kenny Jackett thinks he will achieve the playoff places with this squad he needs to wake up and smell the coffee.
If Steve Morgan wants to sell this club he needs to make the sale more attractive. To do that he needs to be selling a promotion chasing side playing exciting, winning football. To do that he needs to spend some money on experienced players from higher up the leagues than we are NOT LOWER!
I foresee a career at the Express and Star, with prose like this 55.
Don't agree about Ojo, he's got pace and ability, what let him down last night was the quality of his final ball, which up till then had been pretty good. His delivery from dead balls last night was shocking, but was still one of our better players and thought he should have stayed on. He's 18, he not the finished product.
Kortney Hause isn't 18, he's 20, is that still TO (sic) young for a CB at this level? He shows some promise but is having to learn in the spotlight, gets caught out of position some times particularly against teams who get it down and pass but I think he'll be a good footballer.
Some of the build up play was good last night, but the delivery around the box was awful, wrong choices time after time, Ojo, Henry, Coady, McDonald, VLP later, all of them were guilty of this repeatedly.
I'll agree with one thing though, the Henry & Ojo for Price & VLP substitution was incredulous. It put us effectively down to 9 men, because Price ran around a like a puppy demanding the ball leaving Coady effectively redundant and sent Afobe out wide giving us no forward threat.
Banging long balls up to ALF was equally nonsensical, Martinez and Batth guilty here.
Similar position to this time last year, except we had a better start then. Kenny and Thelwell need to start earning their corn.

he wants sacking..... but who'there to do it ..... and to choose the next one ?
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is back the manager in the face of adversity !
Sack Kenny and do what exactly ?
Bring in who ?
Losing Sako was a big hole to fill, we would have struggled no matter what unless we had £10 mill to fill the void and as we know that isn't gonna happen. We lost Dicko long term early in the season which was a shock to all concerned and one we didn't see coming. We can't have players of his calibre sitting on the bench for when he gets injured.
I don't know the answer, but destabilising the club by sacking Kenny is not the answer IMO
We will smash Boro and move on from there !
I thought I was the negative one.
Last night was as poor as I have seen us under Jackett. The boos were well deserved and more performances like that will see his position start to come under serious threat for the first time since he took over.
The majority of people knew what we had to do in the summer - replace Sako, strengthen up front and bring in competition at the back.
The limited funds we had available were spent on bringing in upgrades/competition for Price, Edwards & vLP/Henry. To enter into the spirit of the thread - why Mr Jackett, why?
In the areas we really needed to strengthen we relied on the loans of Ojo & ALF or actually weakened ourselves with the sale of Stearman - why Mr Jackett, why?
As for team selection, well its just becoming a joke. After reading Jackett's comments in the E&S yesterday..

No CF to bring on off the bench, How?
Had all summer to scout a LW and could not find one, How? What are our scouts doing? Sack them if they can't find a god dam left winger anywhere on earth!!!!!
Martinez, Why?
Ojo, I'm sorry Oldgold is shocking I have not seen him beat a man this season and that is no lie, and why let him near corners? Shocking put one of our kids in not Liverpools!!!!!
Kennys tactics are shocking change a winning formation because Sako leaves WHY?
The team has gone soooooooooooo backwards from last season it's unreal!
started to read it but couldn't get past the TOO YOUNG FOR THIS LEVEL
that my friend is nonsense......never too young often not good enough
I meant a similar situation to this time last year gem, I agree, we'd had a better start in 14/15. KJ turned it around then, he needs to crack on and do it again.
Nesta 17 at debut
Cannavaro 19
Baresi 17
Maldini 16
Our very own Lescott was "only" 17 when he made his debut
so yup sub 21 is clearly too young for a defender
Halfman I totally agree, it's the same old merry go round, team plays poorly for a few games sack the manager, team wins a few games everything settles down until the next hiccup.
Things are not perfect, but the call for constant change is as predictable as it is annoying, I tend to agree with a lot Tatter says, but even he seems to think replacing Sako was as simple as getting another one in and like you said was unlikely to happen.
Fans booing are not helping.
Amiga whilst your here...I'm behind the curve
Farcry 4 worth a go?
By all accounts it's decent Tino, but not really my sort of game so not sure I can give it any personal recommendation.
Scott Dann ( a player we should have signed instaed of that useless lump, Johnson) was captain of Coventry when he was 20 having already impressed for 4 years at Walsall.

Did I ever expect us to go out and find someone as good as Sako? No, not a chance.
Should we have spent the funds we had available bringing in the best possible replacement for Sako we could get rather than spend £3.5m strengthening areas where we were already stronger than we were on the LW and then rely on an 18yo loanee or players out of position on the left?
I'm not going to answer that. Anyone who can't answer it for themselves probably can't read the question.
All cowin right he ain't to young then, so is he good enough?
Things are not perfect, but the call for constant change is as predictable as it is annoying
I'm not saying sack him I'm saying his tactics are poor at best, look at every season he has been here he has not known his best team to at least Crimbo then we start playing, why not do it sooner?
And if your telling me we can't find a LW to replace Sako without spending ££££ you are insane! They are out there SCOUT WELL that's all just don't do nothing!!!!!

It is Tino. It's a very good game. Was the first one I had with my PS4 and put a lot of hours into it.
Calm down everyone. Take a leaf out of my book. I didn't expect promotion this season and have pretty much accepted that we are in the next phase of being stuck in the Championship (2nd division) for the next 30 years.
My psychiatrist tells me that Jackett is as good as we will attract and my yoga teacher hasn't mentioned Mick McCarthy once this week.
he's well and truly lost the plot
how many, fans or press commentators, said in the summer that wolves need a new goalie ?
we know he looked a left wingers because he was seen in poland looking at zyro ... then he must have changed his mind and gone for his usual 2 or 3 not good enough midfielders .... then he decides hause is more than good enough to replace stearman ..... then how about a different left wing every game ........ and his treatment of price
he's lost it, he has to go
