Lukaku - he's rubbish, so is Stones, both over-rated, if they were any good they would be playing for a much better side than Everton, avoid at all costs
good player, but don't think we necessarily need a CF, rather just give Martial the run there, we need a creative attacker and a winger more than a striker

Who would you rather have though?
Robb, don't normally agree with you but you are bang on here. This lad is the real deal, don't know why vc is arguing here.
No Scholay, you always agree with me. Embrace your destiny.

Kane.
I rate Kane but Lukaku is playing at a higher level
Scholay
What is it you seem to think I am arguing? I have not argued anything on the lad. In fact I would suggest that what I have said is very reasonable.
I suspect you are mouthing off again.
What I might argue is Robbs comment that Lukaku is playing at a higher level than Kane.
I have not seen any evidence of that.

Similar to Benteke for me, in the sense that they score in spurts and everyone drools over them but in actual fact, they're not really THAT good.
some players work in a system but not in others.
a friend of mine is a season ticket holder at Everton, and the genuine consensus is Lukaku, other than scoring ( yeah i know, its important but just because he does it at one club, doesnt mean he will else where). isnt that great.
his touch is sloppy and he is pretty lazy.
with the way we play that wont help us ( hence why Rooney is no good either).
and thats not my opinion, its the opinion of some who see him week in and week out.
Dunk, that's funny because I speak to a few Everton fans and they think he's dynamite. He's scored regularly at 3 different clubs. So it's not just isolated to Everton.
Robb,
if there was only 5 Everton fans in the world, you would have spoken to six of them
Just shows you how good Jimmy Greaves was, he scored 100 top division goals at just 21. By the age of 23 he had something approaching 200.

Lukaku is pretty dynamic, shame he's so damn lazy.
He also thrives in quick, direct football. Kane is not only a much better all round player, he would be perfect for our setup.
IMO Lukaku would be a better investment than Kane.
Lukaku's technique, hold up play and link up play are improving all the time. He will be a complete forward in a season or two.
Kane will also continue to improve but he will never be a pacey, athletic beast that lukaku is.
And Lukaku will never have the ability to turn people the way Kane does, he doesn't work as hard nor does he have as good technique.
Lukaku isn't pacey over 5 yards, which is what we need. Martial and Lukaku are pretty similar, one if a better the dribbler the other is stronger. Little point in having two similar options.

Both are big, strong, quick over a distance, very direct and hold the ball up well.
As I said, Lukaku is obviously bigger, stronger, and Martial obviously runs at defences better,
Would prefer somebody different if we were to sign another option.
Only way it COULD work for us is the following:
Example:
-------------------Lukaku
------Martial-----Mata-------Depay
As a flat 4-4-2 with both martial and Lukaku upfront, I think we'd be predictable and rely heavy on crosses into box which would surely mean the end for Mata.
