What has Berahino done to warrant being worth even 15m?
That's almost a million for every PL goal he has scored that isn't a penalty .
Even if you think Townsend is only worth 5m, the truth is we would get much more for him if he was sold.
Berahino has certainly broke through in the premier league where as Townsend hasn't and you can barely count on 1 hand the decent games Townsend has had for spurs. Decent games against Macedonia don't count I'm afraid. Berahino last season was westbroms best player. 15 mil is completely justifiable for a player of berahinos quality.
When I say broke through I mean consistently produce good performances in the prem which berahino did last season. Townsend has been anything but consistent for spurs and any normal spurs fan can see this
Now he is on the bench and cant get his head straight apparently. 3 months on.
This is the West Brom bench by the way, not Real Madrid.
Is he still sulking like a baby because he never got the move? Pretty pathetic really, and unprofessional.
What if he does well here, and a club comes in for himand we don't sell, will we get the same?
Plus w would have to put up with you kissing his aris once he'd signed and starting a hate campaign against whoever keeps him out of the side.
HRH, can you actually sustain a decent debate on here without getting personal? No wonder why I filtered you. Just seems like you use every excuse under the sun to come on and attack my views. What's your problem? Hate campaign against who you buffoon? I had every right to dislike Adebayor and have every right to stick by Lamela who is now looking a much improved player.
I love how when your boyfriend chicken starts waxing lyrical about berahino you stay silent in a corner but the moment I mention it you are on here like flies to s**. Some consistently would be nice HRH
I've had this with Chicken on the other thread too . Told him Berahino is no value using exactly the same arguments. That's consistency. If Chicken ventures on here I will tell him exactly the same too.
You wanted to kill Lennon because he occupied the same bit of the pitch as Lamela . As soon as you have a favourite you start dishing out insults to anyone who plays in their position. It's amusing is all
Talk about personal then dish out boyfriend jibes and call me a buffoon . Come on fella, lighten yourself up a bit. Have a bit of to and fro, it's a ligthearted forum not the cabinet office
I just feel you have this inferior complex where you feel you are better than me. That's the way you come across and always have done. Couldn't be further from the truth. Come on and actually debate with me instead of little jabs like " kissing his arris" then you won't get the abuse back from me. Just a thought....

How can I have an inferiority complex yet think I'm better than you?
You're setting a low standard of debate for me here Donaldo
You're a gift that keeps giving, have a good wekend
Sorry iPhone. Superiority complex.
Low standard. Exactly my point.
I'm supposedly the gift that keeps on giving but i been pretty much spot on with my supposed hate campaigns etc
My Lennon " hate campaign " was spot on as he's now a designated bench warmer for Everton where as HRH was saying how we will regret selling him
My consistent backing up of Lamela has proved right as we have seen a much more improved player this season
My dislike of Adebayor was proven to be accurate as the guy was released from his contract and caused disruption throughout the squad
For someone so "low" on debate I sure as hell got a decent record of recent
Have a great weekend, don't let the door hit you on the back of the a** HRH

Who chronic? Unless you come up with a suggestion then your arguments pretty flawed mate. Berahino has the prem experience to and won't need to adapt like players from another country.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So if he can't think of anyone, it's flawed?
I can't remember what Chronic does for a living (not much judging by the frequency of his articles between 9-5), but I'm pretty sure he's not a scout. So why should you expect him to provide you with names and prices of players abroad to prove his point? What I'm sure he's saying (and I'd agree with) is that I'm sure there are players we can find if he put the work in to find them.
Your argument about not being from abroad and not needing to adapt is flawed in the extreme. I can think of many players who settled like snow when they moved to the PL from abroad, and I can think of many who've played here all their life and still don't cut the mustard.
Rather than just react and start typing, think before you type perhaps.
PS: Berahino is average, £15m player max. Scored 22 in 80 league games, despite not moving from abroad...
Wow Jesus that's a Spanish essay. I never said every player from abroad is a bad signing did he? So where the hell did you get that from? What I said was that buying a player who is used to the prem like berahino compared to buying a player abroad who has never played over here is less of a risk. Surely that's logical? And no berahino is not average and he's completely worth 15 mil. Like I said come up with a decent solution then I will listen but until then button it
And neither did I say every English player will cut the mustard I think you are completely missing the point aswell as the plot. We are talking about berahino here who I rate. I would rather buy berahino than a player abroad at this moment in time. I feel berahino has enough prem experience where he won't need to adapt. This was my point all along
At no point did you mention anything about it being less of a risk. Stop trying to backtrack because you facked up. I'll repost word-for-word what you wrote:
"Who chronic? Unless you come up with a suggestion then your arguments pretty flawed mate. Berahino has the prem experience to and won't need to adapt like players from another country."
No mention or even implications of the risk element in there as far as I can see.
So 22 goals in 80 games isn't average?
Andy Carroll has managed 15 in 60 during his loan and then permanent spell at West Ham, costing £15m. So that's a similar ratio, do you think he's good too?
So I need to find a solution now do I? Newsflash Don:
I'm not a scout, and I don't handle transfer negotiations for Spurs, nor will I be doing so anytime soon.
22 goals in 80 is not bad when you consider the guy plays for westbrom and he has been on the bench for a lot of those games so those stats are a load of s***. The guy not be the full works yet but he is anything but average. Like I say rather than pis** and moaning about other peoples suggestions how about you give us an idea of what striker you would like? As berahino is so "average" ... You don't have to be a bloody scout to give an opinion on what striker you Would like ffs!!!
And your still missing the point completely. I'm not backtracking about nothing as I got nothing wrong you id**. I made a point that berahino wouldn't need to adapt like another young foreigner so how the hell have you managed to confuse yourself into thinking I mean every prem experienced player is worth buying but others from another country are not? I think your a bit simple mate
Anyway I'm off out. Read properly before confusing yourself on what I actually mean Ledley before you start going on the attack

I'm simple? Says the guy who can't differentiate between the meaning of the words 'many', as in "many players from abroad.... Many players who've played here all their life...." As I said earlier, and 'every', as in "thinking I mean every Prem experienced player....."
By the way, "coming up with a solution" and "offering an opinion" are completely different tasks, or didn't you know that?
Someone picks holes in Don's flimsy arguments, so the name-calling ensues, just as stated by another poster earlier in this same article.
