There's a reason we didn't make it at Spurs until 23/24 and his breakthrough being mostly down to his work rate. Because that's what he is mostly, a workhorse
===============
This simply isn't true. Out of all the players who came through Mason was always tipped to be the better player. Obviously Kane has pushed onto another level but if it weren't for injuries, Mason would be first XI and probably nailed on for a Euro place.
Bentaleb done well when he first broke onto the scene but his progress has massively slowed down (partly down to injuries of course), and Dembele is in a league of his own anyway.
To claim Mason would play in the Championship if he weren't with Spurs is totally ridiculous.
Mason could easily find a prem club if sold by spurs, and I hope we don't sell him

The comment was bottom half PL team / Championship but you know chicken picks & chooses what to use instead of taking on the full comment
Don't talk about something you know nothing about

that's what chicken does
I'd say that at the moment he is somewhere between the two extremes you're arguing about.
He is definitely better than championship level, but probably not first choice with us above Dier / Dembele.
But my original point is that I think he has the potential to be really good and first choice with us, if he gets a decent number of games (he was progressing really well when he was in the team before).
I really like him and reckon he will have a big future with us
Think he'll be a good squad player but eventually will get moved on.
Probably right Hengy but for now I live in hope
I like Mason, and he will be getting plenty of game time second half of the season. He puts in a shift every time he puts on the Spurs shirt.

We all live in hope our players will turn into top players mate
I hope Poch utilizes the squad and rotates a few, Wimmer, Trippier, Chadli and Bentaleb need games also, the last thing we want is a Pool style injury list developing.
We should really win both games, I want a cup run and also the 3 points, make it happen lads COYS
I want to see chadli play up top. Did perfectly fine for there for twente in champions league:Europa and is an out an out forward etc. I don't rate son up top at all at home. His strength would be pressuring the city defence. They won't have the ball enough and we won't be sitting off them to give son enough space at white hart lane. Would be different if at the King power.
On the subject of mason he is a converted midfielder he was a forward alongside Kane coming through the systems. If I rem correctly he got moved back because of his injury problems.
He will get better as he learns the deeper role a lot more in his career. That being said he has suffered massively with injuries in his career he is injury plagued and that will not bode well for a top level career sadly.
On the subject of him being at lorient he was sent there to work with the great player ludovic giuly. I always see Ryan moaning he never played yet fails to mention be was injured and he was given extra special treatment to get to where he is.
Mason was one of the ones tipped for big things in his youth career. Him and Caulker. Definitely one of our top prospects around 2008/09 or that mark.
I think the reason he didn't make a bigger impact earlier - and subsequently was in literally nobodies thoughts in Summer 2024 - is because of his size. He always looked like a real flyweight. Now he has filled out a bit, I feel we are seeing the talent the promising youth player had.
Let's not forget he kept Dembele out of our side last season for large portions of it, and was probably above him at the start of this one in the deeper midfield positions.
What can I say....I'm a man ahead of my time
Perfect squad man for me - local lad, been here his whole career (parent club), will probably never do better, and plays the way the coach likes.
Players like this are the skeleton a consistent squad is built on .
Mason won't be playing Sunday he still has an ankle injury.
I like Mason, he really puts in a shift and wears his heart on his sleeve. He isn't as naturally talented as Dembele, Alli, Bentaleb or even Carroll but he is a great player to have in the squad.
Fergie had a lot of joy with the likes of Brown, O'Shea, Evans, Welbeck knocking about. Now these are not the best players the world has seen by any stretch, and other top sides of that era would turn their noses up at them
However, he leaned heavily on them over the years and they were always there - no complaints - even when not first choice.

Last years team was terrible though. 5 have been sold, 2 are about to be sold and Dembele was in terrible form
Vorm
Chiriches Fazio Kaboul Rose
Dembele Capoue
Townsend Paulinho Lamela
Soldado
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jesus, H, that was a depressing side. My heart sinks just looking at it
Vorm
Trippier, Wimmer, Vertonghen, Rose
Dier, Bentaleb
Onomah, Alli, Son
Chadli
League game:
Lloris
Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose
Dier, Bentaleb
Lamela, Alli, Eriksen
Kane
Some of these boys need a run out, can't risk players getting injured and the backup being covered in cobwebs like they were in 2012
Analog,
What makes you think Mason was tipped to be the best of our academy players? He was loaned out to lower league clubs until about 22/23 and only got his chance under Poch. I doubt he'd even be here if it wasn't for him unlike Kane who broke through at a far younger age under Sherwood and had a fantastic youth record, as well as a regular in the England u21s. Mason didn't even get a game at Lorient. Don't talk about something you know nothing about
===============
I hope you have taken LLM and HRH's comments on board and realised it is you who doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.
Mason? A Championship player?
What is it about their comments I have to take on board? I actually agree with HRH that Mason is a decent squad player...
It's you that tried to claim he was one of the best players we have, and a better prospect than Kane at a young age
