I spouted a load of massive generalisations but the bottom line is the vote was won by the old, the stupid and the racists. Some people of course fit in to more than one of those categories.

I have been in a foul mood since last Friday and it hasn't been helped by the numerous tv and radio appearances of Clownders.

Pretty dull game tonight so far. Guess it was predictable that as soon as two 'heavyweight' teams met each other the focus would turn to cancelling out the opposition as is the norm in these tournaments. Good game technically but the fact there isn't a decent striker on the field means not a lot going on in the final third.

Thank goodness the likes of Wales and Iceland are still there to add the passion to the competition
