We only changed to one up top when Sturridge came on later, when Wilshere and Lallana came on Wilshere directly replaced Milner but Sterling went to the tip of the 'diamond' and Rooney went left
^ Actually, I'd still have Cahill over Stones. Missed that.

woy is a dino, should have gone after the world cup's shambolics.
when an england manager finally sets on a system rather than picking a bunch of players and hoping for the best we will never win
Last 16 is the max we can hope for, wales will destroy us, they are a cohesive team
we are just a bunch of players being forced to play around the utterly average wayne rooney.
woy is such a shambolic manager, with no tactical nouse at all.
i hate international football
Danny Watercarriers inclusion in the 26 was Hodgson paying lip service to Leicester winning the league, he was never going to make the 23. Yesterdays game was a complete waste of time due to the sending off but at least England keep beating whats put infront of them which isn't a bad habit to get into.

Playing Vardy and Sturridge wide is square pegs in round holes, as usual with England. Just get Sterling and Lallana wide

Analog I watch a lot of football for me Drinkwater oils be in the squad nothing more. The midfield three should've been Alli, Lallana and Dier yesterday. With Sturrigde and Vardy playing of the outside of Kane.

It was supposed to be Woys roll of the dice with something different. Rooney, Wilshere have had their chance and never take it. For me, it would be
Hart
Walker
Cahill
Smalling
Rose
Alli
Dier
Lallana
Barkley
Kane
Vardy
Would be my best England 11 for the Euros.
With Sterling possible for Barkley, if he gets up to speed.
How was Wilshere had a chance and not taken it? Explain that please. Because in qualifiers he was our MOTM on 6 out of 7 occasions
http://metro.co.uk/2015/06/15/arsenal-players-have-won-englands-last-seven-man-of-the-match-awards-5246819/
I definitely think Wilshere should start but a few of those MotM awards were head scratchers - I think he just became the new hope and people bent over backwards to declare him the new saviour of England.
I think only one of those matches he was actually impressive and I can't even remember which one it was. The others were either best of a bad bunch or hype carrying perception.
We always do this. Dier got MotM when he first got in the side and he was pants that day.
I will tell you what annoys me. that facking band.
Wilshere hasn't taken his chance but Lallana has? Lallana has a lot of caps without doing anything of note.
I really think hodgson realised yesterday that it's not going to work with that xi. I don't think Rooney will be dropped but the difference sterling and Wilshere make to England is more than any.
Forget all this club rivalry bollicks you get on dj's football live thread.
I'd play jack from the start of the first game.

So Milner and Vardy make way? Still think there are two many central players there with Dier, Rooney, Alli, Wilshere and Kane in attack. Lacks balance.

I think his fitness is the worry for most people, not his club, but I'd start him as well.
Surprised by the stuff about Drinkwater's brilliant passing. He's not a terrible passer, but it's average. Even Mark Noble who didn't get invited is a comfortably superior passer. Just because you've seen good highlights of him hitting it in space for Vardy to chase doesn't mean his passing game is that good. In a more compact team in an international setting, can his passing game and link-up play and movement help England control the midfield? I doubt it.

that cracked me up.
And who mentioned highlights? I
Why is an international team more compact? And harder than PL? I dont think it is...lets be honest albania and teams of similar ilk would get spanked in the PL.
Why would we need to control the midfield? we should be a counter attacking team

Isn't he just. Or yourself?
People who dont think drinkwaters a great passer are deluding themselves.
I like wilshere and as an all around player he may have more talent, but you cant knock drinkwater this year. Some of the passes he's made which mahrez and vardy DID NOT finish were spectacular, let alone the ones they did score from
Seeing the same mentality that saw people wanting Rickie Lambert to go to the last World Cup.
It is similar with club fans wanting their team to sign the player who had a good season in the PL (the likes of Lambert, Fellaini etc) and not understanding why they flop when they do move.
The problem with a lot of England player`s is that they come off the bench for a 20 minute game, look OK at the very least, and then when they get picked to play the full 90 minutes, usually look absolute rubbish.
The truth is England have a lot of 20 or 30 minute players in the squad, very few of them can manage a good 90 minutes on a consistent basis.
