Utd are just like Chelsea now just throwing money at it.
As much as I'll enjoy a good at Mourinho's expense today, it's obvious that someone else is picking the bulk of his squad for him.
It's the price you have to pay for such a large outlay on transfer fees and wages.
Mourinho is past it. Utd are past it. Utd are now a normal team. AC Milan, Inter Milan, Ajax and now utd. All these clubs had long dominance in their country and even had great success in Europe. I think the interest and money in english football makes it difficult for any team to create a dynasty like Fergie did. Football is far too competitive at the moment.
the money united has however makes their fall from grace slower than the one Liverpool experienced. You have to ask yourself how united buy the likes of Pogba(a decision he will regret) and Di maria without CL football?
The short term approach is what will eventually kill of united though, just like Liverpool. Why they did not at least approach Pep is mind boggling unless they only decided to replace LVG after Pep had signed for City
