Yeah, saw it this morning. Bit of a red herring to be honest as NI, (in the event of a united Ireland) would cease to exist. NI would become Ireland, who are already an EU member.
Polls have never risen above 30% (in favour of a united Ireland) mind you. That said, given the UK government have deemed NI to be collateral damage, I expect polls to increase over the next couple of years but can’t see a united Ireland for many years.

True and that is what is worrying me. Until the referendum, I thought we were done with Scottish independance but it has all changed.
I thought May (and the Tory government) would have been more skillful when it comes to diplomacy. But by the look of it, they seem to have borrow pages from Trump's own book.

May is polling as more popular than Nicola Sutrgeon in Scotland, which is unheard of considering they hate Tories. Even Scots fed up with her manipulating Brexit for independence.

While the SNP’s objectives are well known, the UK government could have placated them by trying to negotiate SM membership.
May was unwilling to make any concessions and we are where we are. In truth the government have ignored all the devolved executives requirements.
If there had been a massive majority for leaving the EU, then yes I believe the government would have had a clear mandate to take the course they are. But the result was extremely close.
And as acknowledged by Dominic Cummings, (director vote Leave) the fundamental reason Leave won was the false £350m nonsense on the side of a bus…
