lets say none of the 2 candidates are telling the truth, every question asked not one of them answered truthfully they kept avoiding the question put forward to them and talk about other sh111te. america is doomed for sure whoever becomes the next president. all these big talks these 2 are doing i can only see trump sticking to his word but then again trump becoming POTUS is like giving 12 year old to lead the battle line
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I find it strange that you say Trump sticks to his word. He changes his opinion in one sentence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Trump correctly said the west left too early, thus creating the vacuum for isis.....once the west went in, and I opposed that, leaving a mess we helped create.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's also said he wants Mexico, an impoverished developing state, to pay for a giant wall along the border between the two countries, that Putin is misunderstood, that the fact he's paid so little in tax despite his vast wealth should be lauded, that women who seek abortions should be punished, that any further measures to curb gun control in the US are unnecessary...

He's a lunatic. He's ill-educated on geopolitical matters, he's little to no experience in matters of diplomacy, and, most troublingly, he's massively inconsistent: he's repeatedly flip-flopped on policy matters, partly because - and you simply cannot do this as an international statesman - he opens his mouth before he's bothered learning about or considering the facts.

He's dangerous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spot on, Trump plays on the fears of working class white and blue collar Amrerica, who see jobs going, debt mounting and national identity questioned.

Billionaire man of the people, lie.

Hilary backed iiraq war, whereas Trump said the Usa left too early, allowing Isis to spawn.

Hilary is aggressive towards Russia, while Trump is more diplomatic with Putin.

It is not as wee expect on foreign policy.

Trump is called racist, but has black and asian voters and directly appeals to african americans to give him a chance to help them.

Hilary called black males super predator's, in relation to sexual violence.

Both are wrong un's, imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trump also backed the Iraq War. Both of them, like the vast majority of Western politicians, got that one wrong.

And the elevated rhetoric against the Russian state is coming from all quarters now; governments and opposition parties across the West are rightly ratcheting up pressure on Putin over carpet bombing in Syria and support of the Assad regime. Trump is bang wrong on that one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pressure on Russia from hilary and the west....where does a no fly zone on russian jets go, other than attacking their jets?

Should we attack turkey for killing kurds, who are fighting isis for us?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Turkey is not barrel bombing civilian areas.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-37625785

Putin is the biggest individual threat to global political stability today. I agree, as Clinton does, with you; there can't be a military solution to the problem. But he needs a much firmer hand, not appeasement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Syria and Assad used barrel bombs way before russia came in an assad backer, so the UN approach fails.
My concern would be hilary goin after russia in another middle east mess, nothing to do with us, as islamists and the leftists instruct all of the west.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True; but it is now Russian plans with Russian pilots dropping bunker-busting munitions on urban areas. Untargeted and devastating, and undoubtedly a war crime.

No, he isn't. It's completely infeasible and unaffordable.

The very fact that people actually think it's a serious political goal is disturbing.

I think HC is possibly the worst POTUS nominee in my lifetime. But Trump is arguably the worst in US history.

Both have questionable pasts/character, and neither would make a good president. It looks like even if Trump did get in, the Democrats will control Congress. So (as Obama has found out) implementing political mandate will be extremely difficult.

I watched newsnight last night and it appears that some of the electorate are so disenfranchised, (feel have hit rock bottom) they have nothing to lose by voting for Trump. Regardless of how bad he might be as a president. Scary times.

Of course it is a war crime, but same happens with our moves on Saddam, Gadaffi, and if we look around the wider region, war crimes by isis offshoots are at it from Africa, through the middle east, to pakistan and kabul.

It is not our mess anymore to be solved by us infidels, and decadent westerners, imo.

Look after this place first, as our interference, even for good, is used by islamists and the far left to attack us.

Both are weak candidates who would have lost if they were up against a standard opponent.
Trump is more an obnoxious windbag while Hillary seems more calculating.
Never understood the fascination with the geriatric socialist Sanders either.
A poor showing on all sides tbh.

I think that (putting the xenophobia, sexism etc etc aside) is the main problem with Trump. Substance.

He has flip flopped, and glossed over/altered policies so many times, it’s difficult to know what he will try to implement. The wall as noted above, is a complete fantasy. It will never happen. But it was a dog whistle to many in the US. Much like the ban on Muslims.

I understand there are more ‘scandals’ on the cards (for both nominees) and I think the result will be decided on which candidate has the least skeletons in the closet. Rather than any ability to govern.

i agree going to iraq and libya and getting rid of their leader no matter good or bad there were was none of our business or any other countries. after invading iraq and afghan and not finding any mass of destruction weapons you can see how far things have escalated since 2003. the blame will lie on uk and usa. all these suicide bomb attacks happening all around the world do you think none of this would happen if you did not disturb other countries. times are bad atm but will get even bad in the future

This

Bout ye mucker, and hard luvk norn iron v Germany.

I saw Newsnight last night and it is a white working class thing in America, Uk and Europe now, leading to populist feelings.

We need to be careful genuine issues are not exploited by natzi elements.

But, there is genuine alienation among millions of white citizens, left behind, hence brexit, and the revolt against the global super capitalist elite across the States and Europe.

I can't even tell if Trump even means the things he says half the time. He's just so outrageous. He doesn't come across as a politician whatsoever. Madness he's up for election to be president.

posted on 12/10/16

They are both fools but Trump will incite hatred on the streets and the US would see the worst sides of people that it otherwise wouldn't. I don't mean to sound dramatic but people who wouldn't otherwise be involved will die if trump comes in. He's validating racist, sexist and bigoted views. Look how crime has risen here after brexit. Difference is usa has guns.
